You'd think the double bill of Aerosmith and Cheap Trick would be enough for fans. Nope. In New Jersey on Tuesday night, it got a little bit better. With a sold-out show in East Rutherford, fans got the usual hits - then the surprise of a lifetime as Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels joined the band onstage to reprise their 1986 collaboration on "Walk This Way" -- a song widely credited with bringing Run D.M.C.'s rap to the mainstream and breaking open radio barriers.
Fortunately, legendary photographer Ross Halfin has been traveling with the band and was there to capture the historic moment (that's his photo above). And "Sound and Vision Magazine" was on hand to capture and report about the event.
Here's a version done back in the '80s.
