It's the same shows every year. They should let the people pick the shows. There are better shows then these on tv.

What a shame! No Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, or Dexter anywhere on this list!! Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus are incredible actors, as are Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter from Dexter, and Charlie Hunnam, and Katey Sagal from Sons. All three of these shows are the best shows on tv and none of them are nominated for anything!! I've never seen American Horror Story so I can't speak for that although I will start to buy the seasons on dvd. At least Vera Farmiga is nominated for Bates Motel. Thank goodness that show was renewed. The powers that be who pick the nominees need to read all the feedback on these shows to do their picks. It's a waste for these incredible shows to not get the recognition they deserve.

Nominations for an  Emmy should be selected for the TV  views and not the critics.    There are some really good TV series that are way more better and interesting that most in the list. And shouldn't be a syfy category in this award completion too?. Well I suppose as an avid TV watcher I got more for good show rater than main stream.

I'm with everyone else...Where is the Walking Dead in this line up?? Andrew Lincoln? Norman Reedus?  I'd have to throw in Hell on Wheels too! AMC has THE BEST shows on TV.

Walking Dead and Sons have the most loyal following on TV for a reason. Breaking Bad and Big Bang and the Daily Show,(which when Jon leaves it's toast) are the only ones they got right.

Also for series' nominations in both categories:  no Bates Motel, The Killing, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Magic City, Borgias, Nurse Jackie and The Big C!

Once again -- The Middle gets the shaft!  It is a shame that ABC doesn't do more to promote their own show.  It is far better and more realistic than Modern Family.  Howse about Modern Family take a rest next year and give someone else a chance!  They've won enough.  And as for drama -- geez louise, can we try on some other shows for size in that category.  It's beginning to get boring!

It's clear that cable television has become mostly episodic rather than its' original promise of great movies.  House of Cards is an exceptional piece of work and the cast should be commended.

I watch a lot of TV but I do so unashamedly now because the quality of the production and most importantly, the writing on many of the nominated shows, is absolutely wonderful.  In my humble opinion, the writers are the unsung heroes of TV, without their brilliant vision all we'd have would be things blowing up and people killing or eating each other.

As for the movies on cable, they SUCK!  With all the great movies out there, why do they select the worst and then show them over and over and over and over and over......

Other than BBT - I wouldn't watch ANY of these shows. Especially reality shows  which in reality aren't reality!!!   Lame stuff "Emmy" nominators.  There are some really good TV series, but you forgot to put them on the list!

Once again, the Walking Dead gets nothing....so disappointing.

Well I won't watch - again shows that don't fit the main stream didn't get nominated - Supernatural should have been nominated as well as Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.

Where is Norman Reedus's nom for Walking Dead? He is incredible every single week.

Why is it that except for The Daily Show and The Bible there isn't one other show that I watch in the entire list?  I always thought I was the "average TV viewer".  Looks like I was wrong!

Odd, I watch way too much television, yet none of the shows I really enjoy were nominated (I do watch "The Big Bang Theory"). Is it me and my taste in entertainment? I think "Hot in Cleveland" is one of the funniest shows produced. "Person of Interest" (Yay! Shout out to a top-notch supporting actor: Taraji P. Henson), "Elementary", and "How I Met Your Mother" are also fantastic TV.

Continuing proof that if a show gets a lot of Emmu nominations, I don't need to watch it.  I guess I am not artsy enough!

Again......it makes me ill that WALKING DEAD is not on here.  Especially Rick!!!!!!

My mistake... Laura Linney should win for sure
