'Nashville' actors demoted in shake-up
Powers Boothe and Robert Ray Wisdom reduced to recurring roles
If you felt like you couldn't get enough of Powers Boothe in the first season of ABC's country-music drama "Nashville," you're going to be even more disappointed with Season 2.
Boothe, who co-starred as Rayna's (star Connie Britton) power-hungry father, has been demoted on the series. Now, he'll appear on a recurring basis, TVLine reports. This includes an appearance in the second-season debut.
Like Boothe, his "Nashville" co-star Robert Ray Wisdom ("The Wire") has also been reduced to a recurring part. He plays politician Coleman Carlisle. Meanwhile, Chris Carmack , who co-stars as Will, is now a series regular as are Lennon and Maisy Stella. They play Rayna's daughters Maddie and Daphne respectively.
"Nashville" Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
