'Nashville' '/' ABC

If you felt like you couldn't get enough of Powers Boothe in the first season of ABC's country-music drama "Nashville," you're going to be even more disappointed with Season 2.

Boothe, who co-starred as Rayna's (star Connie Britton) power-hungry father, has been demoted on the series. Now, he'll appear on a recurring basis, TVLine reports. This includes an appearance in the second-season debut.

Like Boothe, his "Nashville" co-star Robert Ray Wisdom ("The Wire") has also been reduced to a recurring part. He plays politician Coleman Carlisle. Meanwhile, Chris Carmack , who co-stars as Will, is now a series regular as are Lennon and Maisy Stella. They play Rayna's daughters Maddie and Daphne respectively.

Love the show - The music is great and the three women open opportunities for great music and story lines. Think they should have kept all the characters and see where it would have gone for another year at least.  The kids are wonderful and add so much to the show.   Keep bringing in some Nashville country music stars for cameos.  Loved grumpy papa Powers - give him a story line or a woman - that would do the trick.

I like Powers Boothe a lot, will miss seeing him on a regular basis.  The show kind of has too many characters anyway but Lamar is not one I would have cut or demoted.

The pedigree of "Nashville," with an Oscar-winning creator and writer who's married to T. Bone Burnett, should ensure that it's a great show, but it not only misses the SUCKS!!!

It's bad luck to change the cast when a show is on top.

I wish they'd get rid of Connie Britton!

This is good news. Now they'll have time to continue their research in curing cancer and building the better light bulb.

Keep Scarlett and yes more music.....I agree with the politics angle...too much of it......more music....

I'm not sure I would miss them too much now. If all they are after is better ratings, why not write in a 3 way with Juliette, Scarlett, and Avery?

Hope Kimberly Williams Paisley continues HER role!

I'll miss Lamar bitch-slapping Teddy around every other episode ;)

The story line with both actors kind of ran it's course. I love the two young singers who play Connie B's daughters. I wish they'd sing on every episode.  The "Will" character was okay; his being gay was a bit of a curve ball.

I love it; but inexplicably it isn't that big of a hit unfortunately; it barely got renewed

Way to get away from what made  you good.  Yeah, lets feature more of the kids.  That always works in shows.  Oh well.  Ratings aren't everything.

Won't miss that story line at all! The show is better when they concentrate on the music any way! Too much politics in the world already! Music City and especially "Music Row" needs to be music and drama related to the various aspects of aspiring artists and the career dynamics involved in professional music!

wont miss them at all.   didnt care for that storyline

I love Nashville hope they won't real the show.  Let's not get big headed w/ a hit show.
