'World of Jenks' trailer premieres
Season 2 of MTV reality show spotlights dancing, disease, struggle and joy

MTV's signature reality series, "The Real World," has always prided itself on being authentic, not polite. That was, until its focus shifted entirely to intra-house hookups and roommates getting fired from weird part-time jobs for sleeping off hangovers. Bing: "World of Jenks" | Andrew Jenks
So where does a Music Television viewer turn for a glimpse into the good and bad, glorious and gritty, of actual young people dealing with relatable goals and challenges? That question may be answered when "World of Jenks" returns for a second run of episodes on March 4.
For those of you who missed its inaugural season, the premise is simple (although slightly tweaked for maximum effectiveness): Host, director and executive producer Andrew Jenks moves in for chunks of time with three extraordinary individuals in their 20s to capture varied and intimate slices of life. The subjects this go-round are Oakland street dancer D-Real, NYC-via-San Francisco cancer patient/fashion designer Kaylin and autistic Season 1 returnee Chad from upstate New York.
Entertainment Weekly nabbed this premiere trailer. And while MTV still may not show too many videos, between "Jenks" and "Catfish," its late-night staple once again appears primed to start getting real.
"World of Jenks" Season 2 premieres Monday, March 4, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
