Gilles Marini Allowed to Carry On 'Dancing'
Actor cleared by doctors after tearing hamstring in rehearsals

Actor Gilles Marini has been given the go-ahead to continue his stint on the new season of "Dancing With the Stars" after tearing his hamstring in rehearsals. The "Switched at Birth" star's pre-show rehearsals ended with a leg and back injury, but he carried on through the pain to take part in the season debut of the show on Monday.

He told fans on Wednesday night he was preparing to seek further medical help, revealing on Twitter, "Heat and Ice! Doing this all evening! Tomorrow Hospital at 10 to assess the damage! Then, no matter what I'm practicing!" Marini visited the hospital on Thursday and was delighted when he was given the all-clear to carry on competing in the all-stars series of the dancing show.

He returned to Twitter after the appointment and told his followers, "Doctor said I will be able to do this. I'm happy. Just went through the routine 20 times and its going to be FANTASTIC! All good!" Marini and his partner Peta Murgatroyd have become early front-runners in the all-stars edition, having placed a close second behind NFL star Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke.
"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
