Katherine Webb headed to 'Dancing With the Stars'?
Beauty queen and famous girlfriend could be extending her 15 minutes

First, a Sports Illustrated photo shoot. Then, a gig with "Inside Edition." And now a possible spot on the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars"? Well, that's what's being reported by Page Six of the New York Post.
Bing: More about 'Dancing With the Stars' | Katherine Webb
That's right. Former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb could be trading in her tiara for some dancing shoes on the hit ABC dancing competition series. Her claim to fame? As you'll recall, Webb, girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, became an Internet star when announcer Brent Musberger fawned excessively (and awkwardly) over her during the recent BCS national title game. If the gossip is true, the social media sensation has been offered a spot for Season 16 but has yet to reveal whether she's accepted the opportunity.

What do you think? Would you root for Katherine Webb on the dance floor?
"Dancing With the Stars" returns in March on ABC.
If Katherine keeps her boyfriend as she moves through the on slot of fame, then she is a truly beautiful woman. If she dumps AJ and moves on to bigger and better things, then shame on her for using him.
Dancing with the Stars has had any number of (un)stars on the program and it has not made it any less a fun and worthy show to watch. If a wonderful and talented man who was a war veteran, and disfigured can be the hit that he was, why not Miss Alabama?
Brent Musburger didn't "fawn excessively (and awkwardly) over her during the recent BCS national title game". It was a blow out!! Musburger needed something to talk about in order to fill space and time. The cameraman pointed the camera at her and Musburger commented. Yes, she is beautiful, I get that, but he also commented on the QB's mom being beautiful too. So, can we all just get off the pile of Musburger? There is no need!
Oh, and by the way, I hope she does well on DWTS. I'm not a fan of the show (reality TV sucks) but, people get their fame in different ways and go on to do bigger and better things (Tonya Harding not part of this case, of course).
The show is called "Dancing With The Stars".Being a state beauty pageant winner does not make one a star, nor does being the girlfriend of a college quarterback. The producers of this show need to look for people who actually are stars to compete or change the title to "Dancing With The Wannabes".
Why not? Seems like a good kid. I have no problem with young folks getting a leg up rather than a hand out in life. She's been so gracious and down to earth with all the media attention a few weeks ago, I'd like to see her move forward in life, regardless of whether or not she stays with McCarron in the long run. Good grief, if those bone-head Kardashians can get wealthy for simply breathing air (can't see they're good at anything other than self-promotion), why not elevate a sharp, good person.
If she wants to do it, I wish her the best of luck!
