TLC orders three 'Honey Boo Boo' holiday specials

Honey Boo Boo is coming to help you celebrate the holidays. TLC has ordered new specials pegged to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

And you thought holidays were for spending time with your own dysfunctional family.

"What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family's unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers," read a statement from a TLC spokesperson that noted that America has "redneckognized" seven-year-old breakout "Toddlers & Tiaras" star Alana Thompson.

In addition, an unspecified number of regular "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" episodes were ordered.

The Season 1 finale of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" airs Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.

I love the show.  So what if she is overweight!  Who are you to judge?  If you don't like watching it TURN THE CHANNEL!  She will do fine without you.  The family loves each other and that is all that matters.  It is TV and I'm sure some things are staged to make "good tv".   You go June take care of your family!!

You go Alana! Apparently this little girl has the ability to stir up peoples emotions, morals, ethics, envy, racism, jealousy and judgements of society. A true gift to have and such ability to get inside the minds and emotions of people, even facebook is concerned! You go Honey Boo Boo child! Even Jimmy Kimmel is intrigued (definition: to arouse the curiosity or interest of by unusual, new, or otherwise fascinating or compelling qualities; appeal strongly to; captivate). LOL

We {Black people} have Flavor Flave...and White people have this "butt ugly" child (and her gawd awful below stupid and disgustingly ugly family)lollol ...it took yall some time to catch up, but in the words of your precious Honey Boo Boo "Naw yall done gone 'n done it"  lollol Flavor  looks and sounds like Obama compared to this Ms Piggy on a bad day.

The problems this little girl is going to have to face as she grows up and gets older and  is forgotten about by our here today gone tomorrow attention spans should be enough to make everyone see red flags.  We have gotten in this all to accustom space in our culture of making "supper-stars" out of the wrong people for all the wrong reasons.  Most of all the Reality TV shows out there make us all look bad.  That her weight actually makes headlines makes my case.
In a few of these comments people actually call her fat, stupid and so forth.... Really.  She is a child and should be protected from ignorant people who actually think it is OK to call a complete stranger, let alone a child, on a public forum -anything.

Honey Boo Boo is the best reality tv show there is. Beats the Kardashians, 19 and Counting, Basketball Wives, LA Nanny, all of these and it costs a lot less. Of course, its not up there with Pawn Stars, but its just kind of nice to see these unassuming people beating all the others in ratings. I say make all the money you can while the getting is good, and I am sure they feel the same way. Who cares if Alana is overweight, she is just a kid and maybe someday the baby fat will melt away, but if not, no big deal.

I love Alana.  She is a free spirit that loves her little life. She is a child acting like a child.  It is evident that this family loves one another.  Whether you appreciate their lifestyle or not is of no consequence to them.  They are having fun.  Who is to dictate how people live.    If you don't want to watch it, turn the station.  

Lighten up, folks.  Honey Boo Boo means no harm nor does her family.  It sure beats the reality shows where they are all drunk, sleeping around, fighting, etc. while pretending to be the high society of their community!

This family would be good candidates for the "biggest losers."  Just a bunch of rednecks and it only took one time watching the show that I could not understand what boo-boo was saying.  Let's get a family on tv that is making positive changes to their school, community, etc.  As a mother, I would never all my kids to watch this tv show.
