Judge returns for a fourth season, no replacement announced for Sharon Osbourne

"America's Got Talent" judge Howie Mandel has confirmed he will return to the reality show for a fourth season. The comedian is set to take his place at the judges' panel for another year, as he joins co-star Howard Stern and an as-yet-unnamed replacement for Sharon Osbourne for the eighth season of NBC's summer series.

In an interview with "Access Hollywood," Mandel recalls the conversation he had with his shock jock sidekick when he broke the news of his return. He explains, "I'm thrilled to be back ... I phoned Howard, and I said I'm coming back. And he said, 'Who is this?'" Former judge Sharon Osbourne confirmed her departure before last year's season finale, and NBC execs have yet to announce her replacement.

Nick Cannon is the best thing that ever happened to AGT!

He has a great personality, he's funny, warm and very real on the show.

I still watch but if Rosie O is a judge I quit Still don't know what makes these people experts are you not supposed to have a recognizable talent to judge talent?

How did he force himself upon the show?  I think the real story is that AGT contacted Mr. Stern and offered him a huge amount of money to join their show.  Turns out it was the best decision AGT ever made, as their ratings last year were the best they ever had.

I stopped watching after watching Howard Stern be himself for less than one half of the first show. He doesn't understand that the acts are what people tune in to see. I won't be watching this season or any other now that he has forced himself upon the show. I didn't think that anyone could be more obmoxious than Piers Morgan. I was wrong.
