'Atlanta' cast member confirms that she's exiting series after four seasons

What was revealed Tuesday via Wetpaint, Bravo officialy confirmed Wednesday -- that Sheree Whitfield is leaving "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast after four seasons.

 

The ex-wife of former NFL player Bob Whitfield and frequent sparring partner of fellow castmate NeNe Leakes took to the web on Tuesday to explain her decision. She stated, "After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful 'Housewives' franchise, I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I’m tired of the fighting and the cattiness."

Perhaps this will give her more time to complete the many projects she so famously began on camera during her four-year run on the show, including her clothing line, She by Sheree. "I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect," Whitfield continued. "I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I’m thrilled to say I’m now a free agent and am already fielding offers." Wetpaint reports that Whitfield is also focusing on a new fitness venture.

Bravo released confimation of her departure on Wednesday: "We have enjoyed working with Sheree as part of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,'" it read. "We wish her all the best in the future."

I think that she should have been gone last season... She is a big $hit starter... and I heard she was FIRED!  She has no $ and no class!  She has been known in the past to not pay her bills or her lawyers.... and as Phaedra stated.... she is the Queen of throwing someone under the bus!  Goodbye and don't let the bus hit you in the Ace!!!

 

As far as the Other Women:

 

Cynthia:  Dingy and dumb... with a ghetto ace man.... who is using the hell out of her!

Kandi: $hit starter too... and then cries like a big ace baby when confronted

 

Phaedra:  L in Lawyer... means Liar... Wanna B... Pentecostal Aristocrat!!!  But really a tramp!

 

Kim:  Where do we start?  Hoe, Slut, and Money grubbing tramp!  She is only interested in what she values... and she is an undercover racist.... and so is her husband!

 

NeNe and Marlo:  They are going to rock the show next season.... because the are the REAL DEAL!!   Go Girls...and let the others have it!

I'm disappointed to see Sheree go.  I'm going to miss her.  If she thinks women are any less catty in the "real world", she's crazy.

Thank the Lord!!! Can't stand this trouble making, two faced B----!  She hasn't got ten cents worth of class and has a problem with the truth.  Her clothing line is kaput and what about that mansion she was supposed to be building???  Loser!

I watch the show faithfully and Sheree is a major part of the drama every week... I don't understand why they even have the women trying to interact anymore, they don't get along well enough for that...at this point if they are going to continue the show just show how the ladies are living their lives without the interaction!!!  These are women in their 30's and 40's who should definitely know how to act by now... I must say though, the SMALLS (excluding Sheree) are showing more maturity than the TALLS (they are all just tacky)!!!  In the end if they all just mind their own business and quit worrying about who has the most $$ and who's screwing who, they would be better people!!!!!! I'm just saying

I am actually not surprised.  I thought Sheree was very good at stirring the pot in a lot of situations.  I think she was called out on a few things in the Reunion Shows that maybe she is just not who we like to think she is.  Like the house not being built, not paying Phaedra for counsel.  However, my favorite is NeNe.  I like a woman that can say how it is and I will admit she has shown her claws as well.  Even though I like Phaedra, Kim, Cynthia and Kandi, they were all too boring to be on the show this year.  I will admit it, I even liked Marlo, she was fun for the show.

New Tampa Resident ) I agree totally with your comment.  They made her look bitchy.  The producers cook up drama & edit the show to their liking. She probably didn't have enough side work or anything else drama-ish for Bravo so they got rid of her when she asked for more money. I bet they forced her to show her child support case on TV(sad).  As you said, most of TV is run by gays and they tend to portray women very negatively unless those women have a huge gay following.  Andy from Bravo giving Kim her own show and Kathy Griffin has a new show every six months(they both have a huge gay following). That dumb show, IT'S A BRAD BRAD WORLD. Why did this guy get a show? Because he's gay.  Andy Cohen is very bias and inconsiderate.  He's asked at least two black female guests during his "Plead the 5th" game to out other stars weaves.  These women need to wake up and stop allowing these "Reality" shows to demean their character.

I feel badly that Sheree is leaving although I hardly watched it during the past season.  I did see some of the Reunion Part 2 and I was thoroughly sickened by that one with the criminal record who has the filthiest mouth out of any of them.

I stopped watching it because of Nene.  She disgusts me, she's "rich" and she's also such an illiterate.  She couldn't say one sentence grammatically to save her life.

That guy who bought her the Rolex is funny though.  He is such a simpleton...but, as she said, he does have deep pockets. 

Cynthia is a troublemaker.  .  . I did see that show where they were in Africa and she started trouble between Sheree and that one who is a pig.  Cynthia then put on an act that she had no idea that the skank would act that way.  Who does she think she's kidding?

After seeing about 3, maybe 4 shows, I'm done with them. 

I sincerely wish Sheree the very best.  She received a raw deal from her husband.  He should be ashamed of himself.

Who likes to witness all the screaming week after week.  Every show is the exact same. I never watch it anymore, because it got to be the same old same old every week.

Oh that's precious.  She's leaving because she doesn't approve of the "cattiness"?  She was a major contributor of the cattiness, she loved to gossip and stir up bad feelings.   I got tired of her "axing" questions anyway.  Buh-bye.

Don't usually watch this show but the times I have this lady has behaved in the same way (or worse) as the reason she claims she is not longer part of Housewives of Aanta.  She made me laugh once when she said she was a "classy" lady..... what is her definition of the word?  The show is a very good reminder that: MONEY DOES NOT BUY CLASS!!!!   One down, four to go........

Why do they pick these people anyway , WHO ARE THEY ? NOBODY!! Why not do a show about real people who are struggling  and like each other & support each other  instead of  back stab?   These shows are all so fake   & so are the people.   NO MORE  -  most of them aren't even housewives !  How can you be when you might break a fingernail?

Wont be watching so who cares ! I cant stand Ne Ne or Fedra .  Be looking for Kim's new show.  That looks fun. Bravo is warped to think fighting is  in for too long, its over the top NOT FUN & UGLY!   Fedra and Ne Ne are  backstabbers - why would anyone be friends with them? What a joke! if I hear Ne Ne  whine one more time I will throw up!

they picked the wrong one, she should stay and it should be big rude rich famous actress  nene to go. nene is a disgrace and a fake. she could go somewhere far far away and count all her money.

I personally feel that this is the worst show of the Real Housewives series.  All they do is bicker and try to one up eachother with their mouths.  It's boring.  The minute I see it come on, I change the channel. I'd like to see more camaraderie and support of eachother as women.  Occassional strife is ok, but lets see a productive way to resolve the issues.  Shreaking, shrews squabbling does not interest me.

Though I will miss seeing Sheree on the show because she'd been there since the beginning.  I don't understand her contradiction about too much fighting.  Alot of the bickering originated from her where she kept throwing people under the bus and stirring up drama.  I think what has happened is all the dirt she put out is eating at her on the inside.  You can only go so long with hurting people before it catches up to you.  I see where her life is stagnant in part due to her negativity.

Thank goodness they fired your a$$.  You're are materialistic ( I have no idea HOW), a sh*t-stirrer, a Kim ****er (no idea why on this one either, Kim is the SAME as you except she sleeps with men for money and finally found a dumba$$ to marry her and make babies so she can make sure she gets more when this farce of a marriage is over), broke and lazy and behave like a 5th grader with the personal attacks on people's looks and kids.  Honey, you're no beauty queen and you need to get a job and stop waiting child support which you KNOW you're not entitled to get...take care of your kids!   All that plastic surgery you ex paid for STILL didn't really help you out....your ugly inside AND out.
