Morris Chestnut to host new prison docu-series
'Boyz n the Hood' star will also serve as executive producer for BET's 'Vindicated'

Morris Chestnut has signed up to be the host and co-executive producer of a new BET prison docu-series, "Vindicated." The "Boyz n the Hood" actor is lending his talents to a new reality series, which features various individuals who have been unjustly sent to prison for crimes they did not commit.

Traveling the U.S. and documenting the moving and untold stories of prisoners, Chestnut will talk to the men and women from before they were convicted to after their exoneration, as they try to rebuild their lives outside prison walls. "Vindicated" premieres Dec. 4.
