'Dancing' pro will pay a visit to partner Kelly Monaco's day job

"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Kelly Monaco has enlisted her partner Val Chmerkovskiy to guest star on her day job at "General Hospital." The soap actress has been getting cozy with her ballroom pro over the past few weeks of competition, and now she is taking their relationship off the dance floor and on to the set of one of daytime TV's most beloved shows.

Chmerkovskiy took to Twitter to share his excitement about his guest stint and wrote, "Daytime Emmy here I come lol thrilled. honored." ABC execs confirmed his appearance, adding that he would be playing a boxer, sharing scenes with the show's mainstays -- Maurice Bernard, Sean Blakemore and Monaco's close friend, Nancy Lee Grahn. The episode is set to air on Dec. 10.

"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
