Demi Lovato eager to return to 'The X Factor'
Judge hopes she'll be asked back for a second season of duty

Demi Lovato won't be following Britney Spears and L.A. Reid out of "The X Factor" door. She's keen to return for a second season as a judge. The 20-year-old singer made her debut as a judge and mentor on the singing competition last year, and she hopes she'll be asked back.

Lovato tells "Extra" that she would be more than enthusiastic to return to "The X Factor," even though she's set to release new music this year and might be a little busy. She explains, "I'm focusing on my music this year, so it's going to be a lot of touring, a lot of promoting of my album ... But I would love to. Obviously, if they asked for me to come back, I'd say yes." The FOX talent show hasn't had a lot of good luck with keeping panelists in the past: Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left after the first season, and Spears recently left after one season as a judge. Reid also quit last month, stating he wanted to get back to his job as a music mogul and record label boss.
