"X Factor" contestant Beatrice Miller has blasted mentor Britney Spears for not listening to her song choice requests. The 13-year-old was given Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" to tackle on Wednesday's divas-themed performance show. Miller's performance received mixed reviews.

While judge Demi Lovato liked Spears' song choice for her charge, Cowell disagreed, branding the song boring. The "Toxic" singer snapped back at Cowell, "She has more talent in her pinky then all of your contestants put together." However, after the show, Miller spoke to E! News about her performance, and she surprisingly sided with the British music mogul.

She revealed, "I don't really like slow songs. I listen to Nirvana and Radiohead, not really the divas. My song was really boring, and I've been telling Britney that from Day 1. She just said, 'Get through it and try to connect with the song.' I don't think it really mattered to her that I didn't like it." The fan favorite ranked 10th after last week's results. And on Thursday, she narrowly made the cut, landing in eighth place out of 10.

"The X Factor" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.

Brit and Demi are not qualified for the show.

And their remarks to Simon and Reid are so immature.

LYRIC 145 should not have been eliminated, they were so CREATIVE with excellent stage presence!

Paige is the entire package, she has the look of a star and the most marketable!

Carly is great.

Vino, Arin and Tate are good also.

Khloe and Mario are doing a good job.

X Factor cannot compare to Idol or the Voice!

this is a show of false hopes, false dream, and false mentors.....  i watched a video of "lyric 145" and didnt think they deserved to go home.  freddy mercury IS the DIVA and these 3 werent bad.  jennel got dumped cuz of the "expert help in song choices by her mentor" - none of whom are noteworthy.  if fact, the choice of songs were, on the whole, pretty lame.  let these wannabees go after a hard song --- the cant sing easy ones their whole career.

xfactor gets a D.   the voice gets a B.

i'm sorry but this kid can't sing. If thats what they are calling it. I was hoping she would be gone. There are too many talented people for her to still be there. I think Britney felt sorry for her spoiled whiney butt. She needs to go home with the parents and they should be smacked for ever letting her think she could sing. It wouldn't have mattered what she sang. She is a lousy singer that needs her a**  beat for the attitude she puts out at people who truely want to see her succeed knowing its a lost cause.

I don't know anything needed to be said to the public at all, but is that supposed to be blasting?

This kid should be grateful she's in the top 10 and she's doing herself in by coming out like a spoiled brat, she's not that good, there are certainly much better singers than her, she has been given the opportunity of a lifetime, if at 13 years old she knows it all then she should just get off the show and do it without the help of this huge stars.

Britney is not a good mentor but her biggest mistake was putting Beatrice through to the live shows.  She's a cute kid who definitely has some singing chops, but she has a loooong way to go before she can be considered to be a heavyweight singer.  Right now, she's not even close - regardless of what song she sings.  Also, that comment from Britney was pretty ignorant given the level of talent in Simon's groups.

A mentor is there not to bow down to your choices but to help push you and make you better. I don't care if the ugly little whiner is 13, its called a "GROWING EXPERIENCE". If you can't sing it then get out of the biz little **** cause it ain't gonna get any bettter.

Agreed.  Did you see her face when she landed in 8th place?  Britney is the worst.  She should've sang something like "Rolling in the Deep"

@bgm67   agreed!  the song choice sucked.  cyndi lauper's voice is unique and the song was nowhere near cyndi's caliber but just a cover.  the mentors are failing their charges.

I will agree with Simon and Beaterice. While I though she Sounded good the song choice was horrible and they need to be helping these kids Learn and sing the music they would in the "real world". The song choices were horrible for many of the contestants across the board.
