'America's Next Top Model' Welcomes Males

Upcoming season to include male models for first time in show's history

CW executives have renewed "America's Next Top Model" for a 20th season, which will include male models for the first time in the show's history. In order to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the modeling show's inception, "ANTM" producers are putting a new twist on the competition by inviting male models to compete alongside the females.

In addition, the Tyra Banks-hosted program will only air in the spring, breaking the show's long tradition of airing two cycles per year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Since 2003, the groundbreaking reality series has garnered impressive ratings for the CW, and is one of the network's highest rated and longest running programs.

 

"America's Next Top Model" airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.

Great idea!! But, if the show is so popular why did they move it to Friday nights?  I thought when it was on Tuesday that is a better slot for ratings

About time they added some male models. This social network season sucks. Bring on the plus size male models. lol

Is this America's idea of beauty?  She looks sick from malnutrition.  Is she somebody fameous?

 

Why do people waste their time on this crud when there are real problems in the world?

how come this wasn't advertised? my son is perfect...beautiful hair, skin, teeth, smile...the whole package and 6'2" and skinny as all hell but very handsome.

Finally, but it was have been more interesting if only the guys competed instead of alongside the girls.

I think it is a great idea but ..... what will the grand prize be then?  Usually a part of the prize is a contract with Cover Girl .... what if a guy wins?

This will be fantastic! I'm really looking forward to how this will all play out! So great to see Tyra continuing to create new ways to make a show more interesting each season
