Report: Snooki and the Situation to Be 'Phased Out'

Are the two reality stars no longer wild enough for 'Jersey Shore'?

Of the many insults hurled at "Jersey Shore's" two most famous residents, not wild enough sounds more like a compliment. But with Snooki preggers and the Situation in rehab, TMZ reports that producers are concerned their show will "lose its sex-crazed alcohol-fueled edge."

Bing: More about 'Jersey Shore'

So their screen time will be limited when the reality show begins filming its sixth season this summer, replaced by "newer, wilder castmates" (read: younger people more willing to fall down stairs and pee on the floor).

"Folding in new castmates will help transition the show into a new generation," the report quotes an unnamed source, "while still keeping old fans hooked."

Would you watch "Jersey Shore" without its two biggest traffic accidents?

While they're at it they should consider fading out the rest of the cast.  What a waste of time.  Jersey Shore isn't the first sign of the Apocalypse but it's knocking on the door.

just what is a snooki and a situation anyways? this is trash television at its finest and anyone who would waste time watching this crap should have their tv,s taken away. I will be damn glad when network television starts finding something entertaining to put on instead of uselss crap like Jersey Shore. Contrived and staged antics just suck as entertainment.

No because they are the two individuals responsible for making the show so popular, successful, and halarious from the very begining. Without them, there is no show.

I never watched Jersey Shore for Snooki or Mike.  I enjoy watching Pauly D and Vinny much more.  If Snooki or Mike were gone I really don't think I would miss either one of them.

Any way to phase out the Kardashians?  Another piece of crap I do not watch.  My Reality TV fixes are The Voice and Survivor.  (Losing interest in Survivor though.)
