Is Too Much Honey Her Boo Boo?

Abby Lee Miller of 'Dance Moms': Alana Thompson should get in shape

Pint-sized reality superstar Honey Boo Boo Child is looking more like a quart these days, says Abby Lee Miller. When asked what she thinks of Alana Thompson, the brutal "Dance Moms" instructor told a TMZ  cameraman: "not much."

Thompson -- as was first revealed on her previous show, "Toddlers & Tiaras" -- liberally ingests junk food and a blend of Mountain Dew and Red Bull called Go Go Juice. And Wednesday night, on the Season 1 finale of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," Thompson met her new niece, Baby Kaitlyn, then declared: "I poop bigger."

According to Miller, however, the seven-year-old pageant queen needs to get thinner to stay a winner.

"She needs to get in shape," Miller said. "She needs to be at a dance studio. She needs to be training. She needs to work on her turnout -- the whole nine yards."

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" will return to TLC for holiday specials around Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I have never seen this show and never will, however, for you to attack a CHILD the way you did, as an adult, and call her names is reprehensible.  I find this article and your writing to be in very poor taste.  Rest assured Corey Levitan, I will mention to anyone interested what a poor journalist you are.  Have a nice day.

What a disgusting "family" of...well I'm sure you KNOW what they are.  Anybody who watches this TRASH is just that.

Abby Lee is just pissed that Honey BooBoo and Her Mama are more popular and better liked than Abby's little retards and their shrew-bi+ch hag moms.

Abby Lee, whyncha go ahead and work on your own "turnout" - that jigglin tubbalard gut and butt you're rockin - instead of passing judgement on a little girl?

Give that child a break.  She's six years old and has baby fat.  Yes, she could lay off the soft drinks and junk but she's no fatter than those kids that eat that mess served at school or anywhere else.  She'll slim down.  I enjoy watching the show because this family is entertaining all in their redneck (what they call themselves) glory and you can tell with all their flaws, they really do love and care about each other.  I think Honey Boo Boo gets a raw deal from those pageant judges because of her family and she's the most photogenic of all the girls on the stage.  The family is down to earth and they seem to get along with everybody and they don't judge anybody else.  They make fun of themselve first before they put others down.  This Abby person needs to STFU and practice what she preaches.  She's just another camera hungry, big mouth loon with a contract.  Leave this child alone.  She's not coming to you for advice is she?  Then mind your own business.  Abby just mad Honey Boo Boo got her own show and didn't need her fat behind.

Ironic, being that Abby Lee Miller at least weighs 200 lbs. - and that's after teaching dance several hours a day, several days a week. With that much exercise and she still weighs that much, I don't even want to know how much junk food she goes through a day.

It has come to be disgraceful to think Americans think of these shows as "entertainment".  Imagine someone visiting from another country, turning this show on and thinking this is a representation of all Americans.  With shows like this we are only encouraging, obesity, rudeness, and downright disrespect.  The way these children talk to their parents and the way they act while out in public is totally absurd.  Also, displaying that it is okay to have children and not want to marry the parent and joke about it.  Saying the mother doesn't want to get married because she is too fat to fit in a wedding dress. Come on Hollywood wake up and create some descent shows for TV.  Lets not have the TV shows follow the lead of most of our government officials and portray our country as illiterate, dumb and rude.

For some inexplicable reason, as homo sapiens, there seems to be this inherent  'need' to attack someone we perceive as inferior (to our own perfect selves) for any conceivable reason.  Since it is no longer acceptable (morally &/or legally) to tyrannize someone because of their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, etc.; it seems that obesity has become the current, sanctioned & ever burgeoning assault-de jour.  What satisfaction do all of you get from publically persecuting this poor little girl??  I am NOT advocating or promoting obesity in any manner, but condemning this innocent young child, solely because of her current size, will NEVER help her (or her family) change.  So what if viewers tune in to see an exuberant child simply acting her age along with her eccentric family??  The inexplicable "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo' is proof positive that truth is absolutely stranger than fiction, but hopefully, they are being fairly compensated so they DO have the resources to make positive changes down the road.  My parents always told me 'Pick on someone your own size' & 'If you don't have something nice to say, just don't say anything at all'.  With any luck, the rest of you tweeters were taught the same.  My wish for you, Miss Alana, is keep having fun, study hard, be healthy, be kind & have a wonderful life!

I have to laugh at these comments. All of the judging and tearing apart of an American kid who is being raised as most American kids are these days... Eating junk food, more junk food and yet more junk food.... People really need to get off of their high horse and realize what is going on in our society... The parents of these obese kids aren't 100 percent to blame. It's time for a food reform of sorts, starting in schools... Last time I checked, mini pizza's, chicken nuggets, hotdogs, fries, and chips are NOT healthy foods, yet ALL American schools offer this crap food to our kids... The famous British chef, Jamie Oliver tried a few years ago to change the American school food program, and guess what, yep, he was told to keep his nose out of it... Keep in mind, this one chef is responsible for changing an entire nation's idea of what is healthy for children to eat at school. Because of him, Great Britan's schools don't offer junk food to kids anymore, and all school lunches in the U.K. are healthy, just as it SHOULD be here... The point I'm trying to make is this... If you can't reach these obese children through their parents, you can reach them through school... The idea of healthy eating has to start somewhere, and as of now, all I see in this country is mountains of junk food being offered to our kids, day in, day out, from EVERY angle.... So sad....

I think Alana is a cutie pie, but I have to say that reality tv is garbage, period. No talent, no skill needed, just put yourself out there and look like an idiot and someone will make you famous. I would be so glad to just go back to actual actors doing an actual job of entertaining us.

No need for people to be so hateful.  If you dont have some colorful people in your lives I feel sorry for you.  And more important if you dont have people in your lives that wont judge you, just kill yourself.

In what dimension is RED BULL good for a young child?!? Mountain Dew & Red Bull mixed together is nice recipe for heart trouble. I cannot criticize this little girl for her weight, but I CAN & WILL criticize her mother for letting it get this far. SHAME ON HER!!!!!! That poor little girl is going to have a slue of health issues because of her selfish mother. No matter if children throw tantrums to get what they want, ultimately it's up to the parents to be in control. I have never watched an episode of Honey Boo Boo and don't plan on it either. I despise reality TV and feel it is a major waste of space that could be filled with more educational or family appropriate television, more like what I watched growing up in the 90s. Criticize me if you want. But that mother needs to get some serious help with her parenting skills. There is no shame in telling a child "NO". If people only knew what is in these foods and what they do to your body, I am pretty sure you'd change your tune. For anyone who may try the excuse "But I work full-time and don't have time to cook healthy". Well, I work full-time, too.

I think it's sad to exploit anyone who's obviously ignorant on all levels in life just for their entertainment value.  Today we call it reality tv but years ago it was called a freak show.  I doubt those poor people have any idea how much they are being belittled.  The show is disgusting!!

Stop watching the show and TLC will cancel it...of course they will find something else just as pathetic to replace it.

I believe this is the pot calling the kettle black.  Abby Lee needs to jump on a treadmill and dance her **** off, because last time I checked, for her height and weight, she's morbidly obese. Leave HBBC alone!
