Seacrest Squelches 'Idol' Feud Rumors ... Sort Of

Host says Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are 'strong personalities'

Mariah Carey said she isn't feuding with her fellow "American Idol" judge Nicki Minaj because "a feud takes a little longer to happen" and she has only been working with the hip-hop star for a couple of days.

Minaj, meanwhile, said her and the other judges are "getting along wonderfully."

But what does Ryan Seacrest say?

"Nicki and Mariah, two very different, strong, powerful successful women on the panel -- there are not too many dull moments between the two of them," Seacrest, 37, cautiously said on "Today" Tuesday morning. "But at the end of the day, we all hug and laugh and go home and get ready for another day."

Hmm. While you have to applaud Seacrest for his diplomacy, he doesn't exactly make Carey, 42, and Minaj, 29, sound like best friends. But hey, if he did that, why would we tune in?

J Lo and Tyler were the best things that ever happened to Idol!

Fun personalities, encouraging to the young kids and qualified.

Mariah will be good but MINAJ is boring and unprofessional.

I wont watch a minute of it. Mariah is so obnoxious, she sucks the life out of everything. Nicky is annoying and Keith is just really hard to look at. The best judges ever just left the show....Steven and Jennifer were the best. Idol will suffer because of their choices.
