"Real Housewives of Atlanta" veteran Kim Zolciak has confirmed she's taking an early exit from the show following an explosive fight with her co-stars. After four years on Bravo's hit docu-series, Zolciak will make her last appearance on the show on the Dec. 2 episode, only halfway through the fifth season. Although there has been no shortage of conflict throughout the years, she decided to leave after the feud which erupted right before the cast's trip to the Caribbean island of Anguilla to witness the vow renewal of Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas.

Doctors told Zolciak not to fly while pregnant. But when she told the rest of the "Housewives" she wouldn't join them on their adventure, they lashed out in anger. Zolciak tells In Touch magazine, "They couldn't understand why I couldn't go. Fighting is what we're known for, but I've never disagreed with a pregnant woman. It's not one life you're dealing with. It's two. I was eight-months pregnant, and there was so much drama. I just had to walk. I've taken on so much in the past five years, but this was the final straw. My priority was the child inside me."

According to co-star Kandi Burruss, Zolciak, who gave birth to son Kash just a few weeks after the blow-up, initially agreed to go on the vacation. In fact, Burruss claims the cast planned the trip around Zolciak's schedule, but Zolciak constantly made up excuses to avoid it. Zolciak's former friend-turned-rival NeNe Leakes adds, "She's going to come up with every excuse she can possibly come up with -- 'My blood pressure was going up. My hair was shedding. My nails were comin' loose. I couldn't walk.'" But Zolciak has no regrets about starring in the show, insisting it was worth the drama to meet beau Kroy Biermann, the father of two of her children. She adds, "I can't say it was easy to end that chapter. After all, I met my husband through this show."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

I have to admit Kandi is the most down to earth and deserves her own show

This show has become a total disgrace. These women are truly the worst example of black women I have seen. No wonder  we continue to deal with the stereotypes that black women are gold diggers, rude,  uneducated ghetto trash. The addition of Kenya " Miss USA" to this show was a true mistake. It simply amplified the trash we see. What a train wreck! It's unfortunate that so many continue to watch this classless act.

Nene is obnoxious on the show.

There must be more interesting women in Atlanta!

Kim was fun on the show and always owned up to being lazy, wearing fake hair, not knowing how to cook etc.

She has two amazing daughters who seemed to desperately need the normal family life Kroy brings them.

He seems like a great dad, Kim is very lucky to have him.

During her wedding I thought it was so rude and shocking for her to have her mom thrown out of her home, that was horrible!

How can her children learn from a role model like that?

I hope Kim is still planning on coming out with her wig line. I haven't heard anything in awhile. You go Kim. Enjoy your life off camera!

I'm glad Kim is leaving.  She seems to be in such a different place now then when the show started.  She doesn't need this stress/drama in her new life.  I will say I stopped watching it when NeNe started talking about she has "Trump Money".  I can not stand her, she is an embarresment to all human kind. She is a bully and a fake. I only like Kandi.  The rest of them are either fake or non irrelevent

I am happy for Kim that she will be concentrating on her family.  Nene is absolutely disgusting.  Only in America will a former stripper be given Hollywood offers.  She came from the hood without any teeth and was a stripper.  Now apparently Hollywood is calling.  She may have designer accessories (teeth included) but she will always be ghetto trash and when her time is up, no one will look at her face again!

It's also a good time for me to stop wasting time watching this inane group of women. They love giving the impression that they are "Atlanta's best"...well, Atlanta should sue that show. They are nothing less than a bunch of dirty mouthed ghetto slime. When will Bravo stop shoving the very repulsive Nene down our throats? She can barely speak understandable english while tottering around on her high heels announcing her vast riches to every ear within ear shot. What a player. She has as much class as a pig. (sorry pigs! ).
