'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star taking early exit after fight with co-stars

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" veteran Kim Zolciak has confirmed she's taking an early exit from the show following an explosive fight with her co-stars. After four years on Bravo's hit docu-series, Zolciak will make her last appearance on the show on the Dec. 2 episode, only halfway through the fifth season. Although there has been no shortage of conflict throughout the years, she decided to leave after the feud which erupted right before the cast's trip to the Caribbean island of Anguilla to witness the vow renewal of Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas.

Doctors told Zolciak not to fly while pregnant. But when she told the rest of the "Housewives" she wouldn't join them on their adventure, they lashed out in anger. Zolciak tells In Touch magazine, "They couldn't understand why I couldn't go. Fighting is what we're known for, but I've never disagreed with a pregnant woman. It's not one life you're dealing with. It's two. I was eight-months pregnant, and there was so much drama. I just had to walk. I've taken on so much in the past five years, but this was the final straw. My priority was the child inside me."

According to co-star Kandi Burruss, Zolciak, who gave birth to son Kash just a few weeks after the blow-up, initially agreed to go on the vacation. In fact, Burruss claims the cast planned the trip around Zolciak's schedule, but Zolciak constantly made up excuses to avoid it. Zolciak's former friend-turned-rival NeNe Leakes adds, "She's going to come up with every excuse she can possibly come up with -- 'My blood pressure was going up. My hair was shedding. My nails were comin' loose. I couldn't walk.'" But Zolciak has no regrets about starring in the show, insisting it was worth the drama to meet beau Kroy Biermann, the father of two of her children. She adds, "I can't say it was easy to end that chapter. After all, I met my husband through this show."
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
Kim was fun on the show and always owned up to being lazy, wearing fake hair, not knowing how to cook etc.
She has two amazing daughters who seemed to desperately need the normal family life Kroy brings them.
He seems like a great dad, Kim is very lucky to have him.
During her wedding I thought it was so rude and shocking for her to have her mom thrown out of her home, that was horrible!
How can her children learn from a role model like that?
I am happy for Kim that she will be concentrating on her family. Nene is absolutely disgusting. Only in America will a former stripper be given Hollywood offers. She came from the hood without any teeth and was a stripper. Now apparently Hollywood is calling. She may have designer accessories (teeth included) but she will always be ghetto trash and when her time is up, no one will look at her face again!
