Mario Lopez Added to 'X Factor' Host Short List

Kevin Jonas, Mario Lopez, and Corbin Bleu have all been added to the shortlist of possible co-hosts for the upcoming season of "The X Factor." Last week, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian Odom was announced as front-runner for the hosting position on the singing competition. Now, a FOX network source confirms to E! News that producers have narrowed their hunt down to eight stars who could present the show with her.

In the running are "Extra" host Lopez, singer Jonas, former "High School Musical" heartthrob Bleu, and "Glee" actor Kevin McHale. Kardashian still has some competition before she is officially announced in the role - other female stars being considered include Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen, and "106 & Park" host Rosci Diaz.

Last week, "X Factor" judge Simon Cowell confirmed he is looking for a male and female duo to replace Season 1 host Steve Jones. A final decision is expected within a week before the live shows begin in October.
"The X Factor" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
