"Dancing With the Stars" professional Chelsie Hightower has confirmed she will not strut her stuff on the upcoming season of the hit ballroom dancing competition. The 23- year-old has been a staple on the ABC reality show for seven seasons, including her most recent appearance during the "All-Stars" edition last fall, where she placed 10th with racecar driver Helio Castroneves. But the blonde beauty won't be taking to the stage this spring.

She writes on Twitter, "I unfortunately am not on the show this season. I am looking forward to doing pro dances on Tuesdays ... Thank you all for your continual support through out my journey and looking forward to what the future holds." Her news comes just three days before the official cast announcement for Season 16, which will be revealed on Tuesday. Also rumored to be left off this season's cast list is longtime veteran Maksim Chmerkovskiy, although he has addressed his desire to leave "DWTS" in the past few months. Incidentally, another "So You Think You Can Dance" veteran, Lindsay Arnold, is following in Hightower's footsteps and has confirmed she will be joining the cast as a pro dancer. Season 16 begins March 18 on ABC.
