I still want to see Katie Holmes, Natalie Portman, Rebecca Romjin O'connell, and Katherine Heigel on the show.  THEY ARE REAL STARS!  Also, bring back Nancy O'dell and Jewel for a second try. Please!

I only recognize about half of the names and I like it that way.  This way, I can go into the season without too many preconceived notions, check in on some old favorites, and learn about some others.  I'm guessing Jaleel White should do well because playing a character in a dance should be natural to him(though I thought he played Ste-Fan Urk-Kel) and so should Donald Driver because of his athleticism, but other than that it'll be interesting to see who is good from the start and who manages to stick around early on and gets better as the season progresses.  I Do think the judges can overly technical especially in the early going, but that may be because  I know nothing about dancing and only know what's most pleasing to the eye.  Also, yes, you might get Brad Pitt once he turns 50 or so but other than that, forget about it.

YES< TULIP 1114  I agree, can't stand her either. Biggest mouth.....,  I;m pretty sure she'll be the first to go this is all she's dreampt of.. I'm sure her precious Jeffrey and her big stud husband will be there. I don't know if I could handle watching her, she just makes me sick, I can not watch the view because of her.  I'm anxious to see how Jaleel White does, he;s the one I think will go far.

It is entertainment. I always watch and always have. At first you think it's not going to be a very good season because someone can't dance or you don't like the star, but always I get hooked in and have changed my mind about some stars from what I have seen on this show. It brings out the best and worst in people. I do take offense though for these people being tagged as B listers. I think alot of A listers are too busy, think they are too important, or too lazy to take on the rigorous schedule. And if no one thinks it's rigorous, look at the bodies of these people as the show goes on. You don't lose that much weight from doing nothing. I like the show and will watch it as long as it's on. I agree the pro dancers are great to watch and a big part of why I tune in. What's wrong with that? Many a claim to fame was made on much less than what this show requires of it's "stars".

I love watching all of these shows.  i.e. DWTS, American Idol, The Voice, I can't think of the name of it, but the modeling show, where people have to make the models costumes, etc.....  They are all a blast to watch!!!!Smile

I watched last season because it was the first time with a really diversified cast. I loved Caz, he is absolutely someone who could be at my party, and Carson Kressley was TOO funny. No, I am not gay and do not have an agenda. I just like people who entertain me, and they both did.

I did not watch last season because they had that wicked fool Chase Bono on there. If you want to get me to watch your show you must clean up.

Maria Menunos and opera singer, Katherine Jenkins both have bodies to DIE for! They're big-time HOTTIES with captivating eyes!  Can't wait to see how much they won't be wearing...Smile

Here's hoping the music will match the dance instead of throwing in any ol' tune just because it has the same beat.  My dig for the last several seasons. That spoils it for me, and the obvious "fixed" results which favor popular and controversial so-called 'stars' who can't dance worth a lick in order to keep the interest of the viewer and maintain high ratings.  The spirit of a dance is in the MUSIC itself and is inextricably 75% of the whole package if not more.  The half-naked pros are also a draw, which takes one's mind off the awful choice of music.

DWTS is still "with the stars."  As the seasons' pass, however, it's the professional dancers that have become 'THE STARS,' and they dance with a bunch of unknown individuals.

It is obvious by reading some of these comments that the case will work because it is diverse.  People are saying "I have only heard of (fill in the blank).  That is the point people!  They have the required NFL'er, retired athlete, throw in a few 80's mega-stars (could be on "Where R They Now" episode) for the 40-somethings, the senior citizen (I don't know who poor cutie-Tristan royally pissed off!), a Latin hottie, chunky talk-show rep. (think Neicy Nash or Rikki Lake, people will love to watch her take the pounds off in the process-if she lasts long enough) and your required Disney star since it is an ABC show.  With a cast like this they have touched on at least ONE person who people will watch and root for.  They know exactly what they are doing when they pick these casts!  You will never get the George Clooney's or Brad Pitt's, but then again--they would be really pretty boring to watch.  These people have been out of the public eye for long enough to actually have a semi-normal life again, and that what makes them fun to watch.  It is like watching a friend you haven't seen since high school doing something like this!
