Former "Real Housewives of New York City" star Jill Zarin has slammed Kim Kardashian and sister Kourtney for failing to set good examples to young girls. The reality TV personality, who is known for her outspoken ways, is taking aim at the Kardashian sisters in a new interview with OK! magazine. Her main beef? The fact that the celebrity sisters have chosen to have children out of wedlock.

Zarin rants, "I think you're supposed to be married before you get pregnant ... Why can't they teach young people the right thing to do? Why can't they set good examples?" The eldest Kardashian, 33-year-old Kourtney, has two young children with longtime boyfriend Scott Disick, and has previously stated they have no plans to marry any time soon. Sister Kim is currently expecting her first child with her boyfriend Kanye West. And although Zarin tells the magazine that she's sure the E! stars are nice people, she insists that Kim and Kourtney's pregnancies make it "harder for parents to instill values in their own children."

This is the pot calling the kettle black! Zarin has no room to talk about anyone else's behavior after the way she treated her 'best friend', Bethenny! I mean with friends like her who the heck needs enemies.. Fortunately, Bethenny went on to bigger and better things and while I loath the Kardashians and everything they represent in our society, I sure as hell don't see where THIS broad gets off putting them down!

I AGREE WITH JILL BUT DISAGREE WITH THE FACT THAT ANYONE WOULD LOOK UP TO THEM.  The problem with this family starts with the mother.  She seems to think she is one of the daughters and craves attention!!!! Sad that they are portrayed on TV as a FAMILY.  This is the junk our society enjoys.

I happen to like the Kardashians but Jill has a point. I'm more traditional when it comes to family and I personally feel it's important that a man and woman should be married before having children. Kourtney is one thing because both she and Scott have children only with each other. Kim, on the other hand.... Would it REALLY have killed her to finalize her divorce first? That, to me, was a little skanky.

If you are a good man and your wife of 20 years turns into a alchoholic whore then you are screwed because you have no rights!  She will get half or more and you get the shaft!  IT doens't matter what she does....she can even assault you and she will probably end up getting alimony and half of all the savings and retirement.  And on top of that she can claim retirement benefits based on his work record if you have been married at least 10 years before divorce.

I don't care if people get married or not before having children.  Let them explain to their kids why mommie and daddy aren't married.  This country has no morals anymore.  But wouldn't it be nice if the whore got divorced before she has another man's child?   If you figure it out, she was only dating that west guy for 3 months before she got pregnant.   Wonder if her butt will fit on t.v. screens when she starts putting on weight.  Let's just hope she will stop putting her bikini pictures away until after she delivers.  My eyes! My eyes!  My eyes!

If you allow your children to look up to the Kardashians you may have already failed as a parent.

People should be married when they have children. Look at our country now and how it used to be not such a nice place. Morals are morals

Maybe if we had more (rules) we would not have to be dealing the things we are now

Oh please, no one believes in the institution of marriage anymore.  What's the advantage anyway?  Especially when your rich and need to protect your hard earned assets.

Welcome to the 20th Century. In today's society, there aren't set rules anymore about being married before having children. Get over it and deal with the issues in your own life.

This article really isnt about people having kids out of wedlock, this article is about famous people having kids out of wedlock, because its harder for parents to instill values in their own children. So my previous post is dead on accurate. TV Stars or non stars whatever your opinion may be should not be held as Role Models. If you want them to be ask them to adopt your kids, then they can raise them however they want. As for marriage before kids, what does marriage provide to the child that 2 people who arent married can't? Marriage is about what, standing in front of people and the law? Well I signed a mortgage, I signed the birth certificate, she signed both as well, so I cant provide my child a good example without being married. My parent divorced when I was a teenager and I can tell you that sometimes a married couple is not the best example. Parenting is about making sure the best interest of the child is met, not telling the governement we are going to be together until we legally file not to be.

Live and let live.  The opinion that you MUST be married to have a baby is just that, an opinion.  If people don't feel the need to get married to have a baby, they don't have to.  Life is changing and so are the dynamics or rules of what a family should/can be.  And this isn't a new thing, this has been happening generation after generation; the dynamics and rules of relationships have changed ALWAYS and will continue to do so.  My mother believed she had to stay married (probably through the opinions of the Jill Zarins of her era) even if a man beat her and cheated on her because divorce was a "bad example".  She had to pop out kid after kid because it was "wrong" to use birth control.  Luckily, the rules changed and I didn't have to grow up believing any of those things for myself.  Create and follow your own rules, but don't impose them or judge others based on their rules and how they want to live their lives.  Jeez people...evolve!

Oh, good grief....Jill Zarin is ridiculous. And to think, when the first & second season came out, she was my favorite. Now......ugh.....can't stand her. Completely void of logic. Maybe it'd make more sense if she were still married to her own daughter's father....but no. She's just become a judgmental annoyance.

Well, first of all, I have no idea who this person is.    Secondly, 99% of the country slams the Kardashians on a regular basis, it's become a national pastime, so how is this news?  We would much rather see them go away, than to have them crammed down our throats every day.

should we choose to have children and not have a wedding ceremony I'd feel absolutely no shame in that.

SRW if you aren't married, why have kids? That's the part I don't understand. What is the rush to have kids, even if your aren't married. Too many times these accidents end up moving to Mom and Dad's, cuz "it's so hard" to be a single parent. Well, no sh*t! These two sisters are no way good moms. And they shouldn't be having kids. Look at OctoMom and Jon and whatshername, all those  kids and the dad leaves, oh the mom was a piece of work, too. Too many women try to make an accident look like they meant it. Think about the kids before you have them!

I can care less what Kim and her sisters want to do in thier own lives. The real role models for some ones child or children should always be the th parents. Love , respect , religion, morals etc is thought from home . Not through TV. Jill get a grip. You must also think that watching scary movies and listening to rap and heavy metal music push children and people to kill. NO, I dont think so. Hate is thought through the home. Its just a excuse to take the attention off the real problem.
