True to the photo above, Ellen DeGeneres has been busy on the horn making deals and selling new TV projects, even as her eponymous afternoon talk show coasts into Season 10. Deadline reports that NBC has purchased an untitled comedy being developed by DeGeneres's A Very Good Production company.

The series will apparently focus on a 32-year-old single woman who becomes fearful of a sad and lonely life after buying her first house. "Ellen DeGeneres Show" head writer Lauren Pomerantz will pen the as-yet-unnamed sitcom and co-produce along with DeGeneres. No word yet on whether Ellen herself will appear onscreen, or, for that matter, if it will be funny. Time will tell.

there is enough funny human pitfalls that even a walk in the park done with comedic flare is entertaining..  that or humans are much more easily amused..

anyway..the skill of making fun/exploring or reporting of the human condition in the modern scope, be it judged or live and let live qualifies..that's what NBC has always been about..

She seems to have the world by the balls! No pun

NBC is quickly becoming "The Gay Network" with that disgusting sitcom of two queer men raising a child and now an Ellen sitcom. But I like Ellen, she isn't all that obsessive about being gay, she's more a comedienne at work who happens to be gay at home.  Shame she's gay though, she is so very attractive when she smiles, and she smiles a lot.

if the show is as funny as she is ,I'll watch it. Her first sitcom was funny as sh&t, and had a great cast. But then she came out and that was the end of it. I don't agree with her lifestyle, but it is just that . HER LIFESTYLE, Her life, She still happens to be one of the funniest people on TV.Very quick witted and a lovely human being. I wish her the best because she deserves it

Ellen is wonderful and I wish her the best.  She is such a wholesome positive influence in this world.  Her clean fun humor has helped me through some tough times, including battling cancer.  I love Ellen and I'm happy to see her producing a comedy.  To all those spewing bigoted hate - Why don't you try to do something positive with your lives instead.  You could be a little more like Ellen, who refuses to say negative things about anybody, and the world would be a better place!

While I don't agree with same-sex marriage,  I do love Ellen as a person, and leave judgment to God. Ellen is funny, talented, very generous, great with animals and kids and very kind-hearted. I watch her show when I can & wish her luck in all ventures. I will take a peek at her show to see if I like it.

Saturday is a day when people must be taking a break from their keyboards because there have only been 17 comments so far.

I am a Christian. If I could have dinner with anyone it would be Ellen. I think that she is brilliant, kind and caring. I would love to see her new show and I miss her old sitcom when she came out by announcing her sexual preference over an intercom in an airport. I don't remember if she was a writer of the show but I have read her books and listened to her audio tapes.  She is hilarious. Her personal life is hers. If you are making a comment about her sinful nature you open yourself up to be judged.  Would any of us be able to cast a stone at a sinner because we are without sin. Jesus knows that there is nobody to judge another otherwise he died for naught.  Marriage between one man and one woman makes the Mormons and the kings who would have multiple wives just as much a sinner as any gay couple. Amen.  We don't know if Ellen has accepted Jesus as her savior. Has it ever come up in an interview?  As long as she and her spouse do then they are far better in the eyes of the Lord than those who do not accept Him.

Being Gina, was that your letter to Laura Scheschinger or were you plagerizing. Do people really listen to her?

God said that jews had to gently treat other jews who were their slaves until their dept was paid. All others who worshiped false idols were not cared for in that manner.  The God of Abraham is the only God and by worshiping any other you will not get the protection from God. Makes sense. Right. All other offenses happened to those who did not believe in God or intentionally disobeyed him. If the bully on the playground is not my friend then I open myself to his bitterness. God protected His children and did not allow His children to fight His fight. He fought his own impossible fights to prove to His children that He took care of His own and let the others suffer the natural consequences of the law makers of the day ie the Ceasers, the Greek and Roman leaders.  The eating of the shellfish and the pigs was a Jewish law because it made them unclean. It was clarified that it is not what a person puts inside them that makes them unclean but what words and actions which come out show that they are unclean.

Christians hold eachb other to a higher standard. We are to show acceptance to those who are not like us in order to show them that we care for them just like Jesus ate with the despots in His time on earth. If we offend others than that puts so much distance between us that we will never help them. Amen.

I am glad to hear Ellen will produce a new sitcom.  I have always liked her, and I hope it will be a big hit.  I plan to watch!

Ellen is a good and giving person. And i wish her nothing but love and luck on her new venture. She makes people laugh and in my opinion in this world today we need more of that. Keep your Bible thumping where it belongs, behind the pulpit.

FOR ALL THE HATERS OUT THERE:  No one can tell anyone HOW to love or WHO tolove: it is way too personal an issue.   It is Okay to say "It is not for me" but trying to dictate someone welse's sexual preference/choice is as antiquated as arranged marriages!

Ellen does more good then any of the haters here will ever do. They waste their time with unkindness. If the bible were so important you would love your neighbor for the good they do instead of hiding your bigotry behind the bible.

The Holy Rollers need to re-read their Bibles. Only homosexuality between males is labeled an abomination. Lesbianism is obviously okay.OTOH there are a host of sins which are equally abominable to God including sex with anyone other than a spouse eitger before, during or after marraige. Listen all you widows/widovers and divorces/divorcees. Your immortal souls are in jeopardy. I find it had to believe that any of the protestors expect us to believe that they have NEVER sinned.

We do know tha JESUS taught "Love one another" and "Judge naught lest ye be judged".

Her first sitcom was amazing and I hated when it went off the air! Her talk show is very successful. I look forward to being entertained by Ellen again with a new sitcom! Ellen is a very talented woman who is entitled to do whatever she wants in her personal life! Let us all enjoy the talent she has to share! Bring it on Ellen!!!!

No thank you Ellen!Your show and your life style is not welcomed in our home. You promote sexual immorality of the worst kind.Yours is the pretty face that has seduced our nation into believing that we can break God's laws regarding sexual relations and not pay a terrible price both now and in the life after this one.

God has blessed us with sexuality but it has it's limits and boundaries.Within the marriage covenant between one man and one woman sex is a gift.Outside marriage it is a destructive fire that will consume both the individual and nation that buys into the philosophy of Soddom and Gomorrah.

Please read the first Chapter in the Book of Romans, New Testament, verses 18-31.God, in unmistakable language spells out exactly how He views the gay lifestyle, and warns us to avoid it if we wish to be happy.

Ellen has has a great career...showing her talents in a wide range of projects.  From "Dory" in Finding Nemo, to her ground breaking Sitcom Her wonderful talk show where she makes all her guests shine and really shows she loves her audience, lending herself to the Energy Pavilion at Epcot....she wins award after award.  She is a beacon in our world.  Her work on health issues, there is really anything bad you can say about her if you are a decent loving person.  I wont bother to comment on what the miserable negativity loving haters think, I will stick with those wth the positive outlook that she personifies.

You go girl!
