Conan's Fall, Like Show, Follows Leno's
Don't worry, erstwhile Irish talk-show host, Jay has been there before
By Kenny Herzog Sep 29, 2009 2:43PM
As my colleague Nick Prueher detailed earlier this morning, Conan O'Brien hit the airwaves like a trooper a mere few days after incurring a concussion because of an athletically oriented Teri Hatcher skit-gone-not-so-funny.
But a la our words of encouragement to F-bomb-flubbing cast member Jenny Slate (seems like fervor around that has already dwindled, huh?), we'd like to let Conan know—to paraphrase the late Michael Jackson—that he is not alone. None other than Jay Leno himself has taken a mighty fall during a well-intentioned skit involving a female celebrity.
Look out for it in the opening moments of the above clip, and just remember Conan: At least you were chasing after a soaking wet Teri Hatcher, and not attempting to hoist Wynona Ryder into your arms, bridezilla-over-threshold style.
