AshLee's dad is Dick Butkus dead ringer
'Bachelor' finalist Bears uncanny resemblance to Chicago football legend
By Kenny Herzog Feb 18, 2013 8:20PM
See what I did with that headline there? Cause the Bears play in Chicago, and "Bachelor" final-four contestant AshLee "Capital L" Frazier's adoptive father, Bruce, projects an aesthetic likeness to Windy City NFL Hall of Famer Dick Butkus. That forgettable entree aside, dude really looks like Dick Butkus, who nostalgic TV fans may also recognize as "My Two Dads" regular Ed Klawicki (or in name only as inspiration for the youngest alien kin on "The Neighbors"). Which makes sense. Butkus was a hard-nosed, no-nonsense linebacker who segued into playing gruff, paternal roles on the small screen. Guys like Dick dig a buzz cut, fully mustached appearance. As for Bruce, well, he's a pastor from Texas, and you know how southern sermonizers favor generously dyed porcupine dos and bushy business above the lip.
OK—disregarding that tenuous explanation, look at Dick for yourself. Now take a gander at good ol' Bruce. It's uncanny. And, if I might add, quite becoming.
"The Bachelor" Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
