Emily Maynard reportedly dour over 'DWTS' diss

Rumor has it the former 'Bachelorette' is peeved that she'll be 'Dancing' on her own

Haven't the producers of "Dancing with the Stars" seen recent "Bachelorette" star Emily Maynard in evening wear? The Southern belle is a knockout. Shorten one of those skirts, slap on some extra sequins and a pair of transparent tights and she's ready to hit the ballroom floor with West Virginian abandon. 


Alas, it wasn't meant to be. When the Season 16 cast was announced earlier this week, Maynard was nowhere to be found amid distinguished company such as, er, Andy Dick and Wynonna Judd. Ya ask us, she dodged a bullet. But according to sources at Us Weekly, Ms. Maynard is downright devastated at her omission.
 
 

One supposed "insider" close to Emily insisted, "She is angry." Another adds that the single mom "desperately wanted" in, while yet one more purported gal pal chimes in, "Who wouldn't? It looks like fun!"


Does it though, really? Melissa Gilbert might attest otherwise.


Season 16 of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres Monday, March 18, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

This tiresome girl. She got 2  chances for love on the tv show. Honey, time to go get a job. You cant get along with 2 nice guys, who both were able to support you very well.  I wish you would go away and raise your kid. You may be the one who gets voted off first anyway. TA TA

Emily Maynard is and has been loser! She needs to go back to her simple life prior tothe Bachlorette and concentrate on her daughter Ricki. There is absolutely NO reason to put her on DWTS or any other show for that matter. Frankly put, there is nothing attractive about her. She is unattractive because of who she is and how she represents herself.

Reality check Emily...You are a narcissitic no talent, nobody. Kindly go away.

Emily may have her looks, but her naivety is either who she really is or a fake personna.  Any person who has the exterior, God Bless, but if it is  not on the interior, then the whole package does not exist.   She is embarrasing herself to have it public because she wasn't asked to be included w/  DWTS.  Who knows what it is that she felt she should be considered? in the past, some of the people that were considered "stars" was, "OK, so your on why?" There were not "stars" included. This season, the show has it right and there have been some in the past.  I hope in the future, the choices will hold true to the title of the show, DWTS.  If the show is going to be based on just anyone to fill a spot, then how about DWTV, (Dancing With the Viewers).

Dancing With the Stars is one of my favorite shows. To me, it is not in the same category as a "Reality" show. It is entertainment and a breath of fresh air as opposed to some of the shows on the other networks.

Being a Bachelorette doesn't make you a star. She's a nobody and nobody wants to watch her dance. She needs to get over herself and get a real life.

Get over it, darlin'. I can see being disappointed, but ANGRY?  Sounds like " how dare you not invite me on your show "? Sounds like she's a little stuck on herself.

She's an attractive lady but her personality is boring. My opinion, she would not be an interesting addition to the show.  She doesn't have the "It'  factor needed for TV or movies.

Thank goodness ABC showed some brains for a change..Emily is no more a "star" than I am the Queen of England...Get a grip Emily..we all know you are only after the $$ they pay...There ARE other ways to pad the bank account..like getting a JOB! Something you apparently have no concept of...And while you are at it..did you FORGET you have a child???!!!! TRY being a mother for once..because if you don't, there will be major issues coming your way, once she gets older..and that will reflect back on YOU!

she "was" very pretty/kind in the beginning, as we have come to know her (through her endeavors) she is losing that shine:-(

The really sad part is that the television industry keeps pumping out or renewing the reality sewage like Dancing With The Stars or The Bachelorette in all their moronic forms while (since these snippets are in the same TV Buzz Blog space) actual original comedy or drama programming like The Touch or Up All Night that don't do a Big Bang Theory or NCIS ratings explosion in their debuts or sometime within their first season don't get a chance to develop an audience following. When networks like NBC decide to bring back garbage like Trump's All Star Celebrity Apprentice but not give Up All Night a chance it is no wonder the industry is so screwed up. Shows like Cheers and Wings weren't initially blockbusters either but Cheers became a phenomenon and Wings would at least have to be judged as a successful comedy. Enough with the reality plague that is neither reality nor entertaining.

Oh my good God, I can't believe that someone of who is not a celebrity,but a former "bachelorette",which​ does not in any way make her the a priority to be chosen to be on DWTS, is pissed because she wasn't asked to be on this show?  Wow, she puts herself on quite the high pedestal. She needs to get off the cloud and live among the real world.

Emily, words of reality honey, you are NOT a star, you are NOT a celebrity. You are a single mother,like many, and you used to be the "bachelorette", that's it. Nothing more and nothing less. So, there is no legitimate reason why you should think that you are categorized as someone who is as well known as the others,  in the cast.  Being "angry" or "miffed" because you were not asked to be on DWTS is embarrassing to yourself and just a waste of your energy. Do you not understand what  DWTS means? Okay, it stands for Dancing With the STARS.   And you think this qualifies you to do what?

When she does something to become relevant than perhaps she will be selected on another season, but since she has struck out publicly with multiple men she should probably spend more time with her daughter and stop trying to be a blond Kardashian (wonder if Kris would take her under her poisoned wings?)

Why would she be on? It's called Dancing With the Stars? Though I guess in her defense most of the seasons should have been called Dancing with the Has-beens and reality tv nobodies.

Oh no! Time to step up and be a parent! Poor Emily... I have lost ALL respect for her after The Bachelorette. I thought she was more down to earth than that. All she cares about is the fame, NOT what it is doing to her beautiful daughter. She needs her mom there with her, not watching her on TV.
