'SNL' Announces Trio of New Cast Members

Sketch show taps three Second City alumni to replace lost stars

If you want to be Lorne Michaels' first choice for a spot on "Saturday Night Live," your best bet is an apprenticeship at Chicago improv hub Second City. Just ask Tina Fey. Or, for that matter, recent SC standouts Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson, who along with Cecily Strong, will be joining "SNL" for its upcoming 38th season.

While the ageless sketch show already has impressive hosts lined up for the early weeks (including Seth MacFarlane and Joseph Gordon-Levitt), it was left a bit reeling after the departures of Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg.

So in case you're wondering whether Bryant, Robinson and Strong are ready to supplant them, here's a clip of Ms. Bryant doing her thing, nerdily:
"Saturday Night Live" Season 38 premieres Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Andy Samberg gone show is going to suck.  Already not as good as the Akroyd or Murphy years now with the new departures it's going to be even worse.  When will this show be taken off the air?

I loved loved loved Tina Fey  and Andy Samberg and am a long term fan of SNL.  I have faith and hope in the selections of Lorne Michaels.  We'll see how it goes.
