2013 Golden Globes nominations announced

The nominations for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Thursday, Dec. 13, from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. Jessica Alba, Megan Fox and Ed Helms joined Dr. Aida Takla-O'Reilly, the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, to announce the nominations in 25 categories.

A Golden Globe nomination is widely considered to be a strong indicator of who could be nominated for an Academy Award, although unlike the Oscars, the Globes not only celebrates the finest in film, but also in television.
