Make way for the protégé!
Deadline.com reports that Charles Michael Davis -- late of "The Game" -- has been cast as Klaus' party-hardy, New Orleans kin on the upcoming "Vampire Diaries" spin-off "The Originals."
The role marks the second new major player to be cast on the show, which will carry over "TVD" stars Joseph Morgan (Klaus), Daniel Gillies (Elijah) and Phoebe Tonkin (werewolf Hayley). Also recently cast is the show's first witch, Sophie, to be played by Daniella Pineda.

Fans will get a first look at the spin-off on the April 25 episode of "The Vampire Diaries," which will serve as a backdoor pilot for the new series.
If Davis looks familiar, it's because the busy actor recently wrapped a stint on "Switched At Birth" and is currently filming a recurring role on "Grey's Anatomy"
"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.
