'Cougar Town' Casts Alexandra Wentworth
'In Living Color' veteran to play Tom's girlfriend on Courteney Cox sitcom

See that lady to the left? She's on the set of "Cougar Town," which makes her job vastly more entertaining than most of ours. To be more specific, it's former "In Living Color" regular (aka the wacky white lady) and recent "Head Case" star Alexandra Wentworth. She's officially joined Season 4 of the Courteney Cox-led sitcom as put-upon, widowed neighbor Tom's (Bob Clendenin) new love interest. On Monday, confirming Deadline's reports, Wentworth tweeted the aforementioned on-set pic. This is, of course, a relatively minor change for "Cougar Town," which is relocating networks from ABC to TBS. But if the addition of Wentworth suggests anything, it's that "CT" writers are ready to start expanding the lunatic worlds of its supporting character. Or, that they're secretly huge fans of her husband George Stephanopoulos' work on "Good Morning America" and are simply using Wentworth to get to him. Which, of course, is just absurd enough to be an actual "Cougar Town" storyline.
Until the show returns in early 2013, let's revisit Ms. Wentworth's established prime-time hilarity alongside notable "In Living Color" counterpart Jim Carrey:
"Cougar Town" Season 4 will premiere in January 2013 on TBS.
