'Today' co-host said to be 'miserable' over Ann Curry fan tirades
According to TMZ, "Today" show co-host Matt Lauer is "freaked out" and "miserable" over tirades screamed at him by New Yorkers on a daily basis.

Lauer went from good guy to bad overnight in June, after TMZ reported he had maneuvered to oust Ann Curry as his co-host as part of his last contract negotiation. (NBC execs have publicly denied any connection between Lauer and what they term Curry's "reassignment" to reporter for "NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" and other NBC news programs. Curry was replaced by Savannah Guthrie on the "Today" show.)

The TMZ report quotes unnamed NBC sources saying the public harassment is "driving (Lauer) crazy, he's so unhappy." The report adds: “Matt is telling people at NBC there have also been lots of sarcastic comments about his $25 million salary."

Although I do not care for Matt Lauer, he does not have the Power to reassign Ann Curry How do we know what happened. It's all hearsay---Their ratings were falling, maybe she wanted more money in another updated Contract. It is the People at the Top of NBC who had her reassigned. They are in Charge--Matt is their "Employee". Just possibly Ann Curry was not dynamic enough to catch the viewers attention. Now maybe they will "work" on Matt Lauer. This Business is a day to day job---with lots of hard knocks.
Matt is a big joke. He surly is not worth 25 million dollars. But there is no one that does the same job as he
that should be paid such a crazy salary either. I fell really bad for Ann and after he did what he did to her
I will never watch the today show on a weekday when he is hosting it. I only now watch the today show on the
weekends now with Lester Holt. Lester is real professional and Matt should take a few lessons' from him.
everyone out there should be boycotting the today show when Matt is on it.
Of course n ot. Matt Lauer needs to go away. He makes too much money. He isn't worth it and NEVER WAS! He's as bad as Bryant. They both are too full of themselves. It's a TV show. They're not God. Ann was a great person, first and an excellent reporter and we liked her. But who are we, hmmmm, the viewers? The idiot producer was as much to blame as Matt but he's gone but Matt's still there.
