Cobie Smulders to guest on 'S.H.I.E.L.D.'?
'How I Met Your Mother' star in talks to reprise her role as Agent Maria Hill

Given the fact that she just signed on for a ninth season of her CBS smash "How I Met Your Mother," on which she plays Robin, most would presume Cobie Smulders is too busy to even think about making time to guest on Josh Whedon's upcoming "S.H.I.E.L.D." series.
But with her big-screen partner Clark Gregg reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson, it's only natural to wonder if Smulders might sign on to play Maria Hill on the show -- and according to IAmRogue.com, Smulders is happy to get fans' hopes up.
"There are definite talks about it," said the actress, who played Agent Maria Hill in last year's "The Avengers." "The commitments to ["How I Met Your Mother"] don't affect it."
It's unclear what capacity she'd sign on for, given her schedule, but it would likely be a guest starring arc.
Smulders is already locked in to reprise her role as Agent Maria Hill in the upcoming "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and reportedly, in "The Avengers 2.
"I'm very excited," she said of the role. "I will do Maria Hill until they fire me and hire someone else to do it."
"How I Met Your Mother" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
