'The Talk' Twitter Battle: Osbourne vs. Remini

Breaking up is hard to do, even in daytime

With "The Talk" celebrating its renewal for the 2012/2013 season, last season's co-host shakeup is back in the news. Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were given the boot back in September. And even though Remini's busy working on the ABC pilot "White Van Man," it's clear she's still smarting from the breakup. The comedienne got fired up on Twitter, taking shots at Sharon Osbourne for getting her fired. Never one to hold back, Mrs. O responded and it became a Twitter tête-à-tête.

Bing: More about "The Talk" | Leah Remini

It all started when a fan gave Remini a Twitter shout-out Friday, March 9, saying she wished Remini would come back to "The Talk." "Not our choice. we were fired sweetie," Remini responded.

Over the next few days, more fans started tweeting to Remini about the topic, often trashing Mrs. O, and Remini's Q&A rant snowballed. "Sharon made it happen and i guess ppl who still watch her make it happen? Sharon thought me and Holly were "Ghetto", (her words) we were not funny, awkward and didn't know ourselves… Haters Gon' Hate. True. But, Haters have the balls to say they "Hate"...not call themselves your friend. she had us fired all the while calling me and holly her friend. heartbreaking. Yes. she had us fired she told howard stern. explains why she never called us back…"

That is just a selection of the tweets, but Remini's message was clear and Sharon Osbourne heard it.

"In response to Leah Remini's continuous comments that I had her fired from @TheTalk_CBS, let me just go on the record to say... I had absolutely nothing to do w her departure from the show & have no idea why she continues to take to Twitter to spread this false gossip," Osbourne responded via twitter on Tuesday. "Leah knows that I have never been in the position to hire or fire anyone on the show.

"That being said, my only wish is that Leah would just stop all this negative, unprofessional, and childish behavior. It’s been seven months. It’s time to move on. Leah is a very talented actress and I only wish her happiness and success. I know that better things are to come if she can just get beyond all this negativity."

Remini, of course, responded.

"I would now like to move on from 'The Talk,'" she started in a string of tweets. "I answered a question on Twitter from fan who wanted to know what happened AGAIN. I answered from the information that was given in an interview from Howard Stern. This is what happens when ppl dont get HONEST answers. This is what happens when shady stuff goes down and no one wants to man up. Now, we get games being played on Twitter. No one is perfect, including me. This is a waste of time. I will not respond to Sharon BUT only to say this, IF she wanted to clear it up she has my number & has had ALL this time and didnt use it. not even to say she was sorry. so to Sharon I say... Well done Sharon, you won. I will move on now as you suggested. And so should u. Be at Peace."

Remini also claimed Osbourne is just looking to get publicity and that Mrs. O wouldn't be mad if what she was saying wasn't true. "If someone wants me to stop, they should call a lawyer and tell them what i am NOT telling the truth abt. we can go from there."

These ladies certainly know how to to talk the talk!

"The Talk" airs weekdays on CBS.

The "Talk".  Never watched it.  Is it like the "Voice" only without talent?

Leah Remini is a no talent big mouth. I never liked her on King of Queens and won't watch anything else she does. She claims Sharon Osbourne said she's "ghetto". Well, her recent tweets prove that to be true. I don't see any nasty tweets or comments coming from Holly Robinson Peete. Remini has no class and she's behaving like a ten year old. She's in a business where people get replaced or fired at the drop of a dime. She needs to develop a thicker skin or find another line of work.

OMG!  What a self-centered twit Remeni must be to think the world is going to stop and care whether she was fired or quit!  Let's look around the world and there are PLENTY of things to worry much more over.  Maybe she could find out where Aniston gets her neck Mars crystals.  Then they would REALLY be in the exact same boat...destined to sink.

oh,nice topic.i have heard that a saying goes in China like this "Only one himself knows if the shoes match his feet or not “。If u really love her /him ,nothing matters, let alone the age . look at my name .~~  it is a nice place for younger women and older men, or older women and younger men, to interact with each other.we met there ,and he is almost 12 older than me ,but we think we did find the true love.BTW,Ever feel that you would best enjoy someone who is not in your age group? If u are really interested in it, maybe  u  wanna check  it out or tell your friends.

No doubt about it, scientists do amazing things. But sometimes people in white coats emerge from the labs, proud and exhausted with conclusions that are so painfully obvious (Beautiful people have more romantic options! Confident people are more attractive!) that it makes us wonder why they even bothered. So why do they? “We can’t assume the obvious, because sometimes what we believe to be fact is colored by our social experience and expectation,” says Scott Haltzman, M.D., author of The Secrets of Happily Married Women. “A century ago, it was ‘fact’ that women couldn’t be expected to be intelligent enough to vote, and that women who were pregnant needed to avoid any heavy exercise. It is ‘obvious’ that chocolate is bad, or that wine is bad. Newer studies show there are health benefits. Until we test out what we ‘know’ is true, then we are just perpetuating stereotypes. Scientists need to re-do studies, because almost

To:  The D ... The picture where you say she got "hella fat" is probably from during her pregnancy or right after she had the baby.   It's hard to take off "baby weight" for many women.  Give her time, or it's probably gone now, but the media often likes to use unflattering pics.

Sharon Osborne is a low life twit.  She's married to a low life twit, and her kids are the same.  They're all ugly, inside and out.  Sharon Osborne has one of the filthiest mouths on anyone I've ever heard and she makes her points on the disgusting puke that spews from her dirty mouth by screaming at anyone.  Leah Remini is a lovely gal who probably didn't deserve to get fired, but I couldn't say because I won't watch a bunch of liberal, idiot women bitch about things.  I have more important things to do - like live life to the fullest, and happily I might add, but sometimes one just has to speak up, and I appreciate the ability to do so.

For those that don't like Sharon , you do not know the history of her and Ozzy, or her personally. She was Black Sabbaths( ozzys original band) managers daughter. When Ozzy was kicked out of Sabbath, she asked her dad if she could manage his career and he said yes to teach her a lesson and let his child fail on her own. Instead she took Ozzy, who at the time she was not a fan of personally, and made him one of the biggest and highest selling acts in the world, in fact he is the 2nd richest person in england behind the queen. Along the way they bonded and fell in love.  She helped him stay away from drugs and killing himself by giving him a cause and reason to live. Let he without sin cast the 1st stone. Ozzys family is probably closer and more successful then just about every other in America, England, much less the world. Without Sharon Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman would never have been written, introducing the WORLD to Randy Rhoads and stadium anthems to this day, such as Crazy Train, Flying High Again & I don't Know. Songs which united a generation and saved thousands of kids life's!

Vinnys Venting...you are a bigot. An idiot, to boot.  If you are going to call people names know what the heck you are saying....There is NO Joy Chen, it is Julie.... and as far as the Lesbian goes (you jerk) Ms Gilbert came up with the idea for the show.
Ms. Remini was very funny but loud, I enjoyed the show then, now it is just boring and it is trying to be a carbon copy of the View.

Doggy 624, she's appeared in 29 roles, many as a principle "star" since 1988, and often a short term guest star. Its easy to find just bing her biography and her list of failures pops right up. Her roles all almost identical, the typical easy coast snotty east coast "i am better smarter then you" roles, which i am sure are easy for her to play, very little acting required!

Ms. O is too full of herself in my opinion.  She hangs back daily at the beginning of each show and does her heart finger thing...and is always last to sit down while getting all the clamps.  She has beautiful eyes, but a cold English heart and I for one believe Remini because had Sharon not been involved, she would have called her to see if she was doing ok, that's what "friends" do.  Now I find the Talk boring, with Julie being the bosses wife, she can do no wrong...all the show is good for is to promote shows on CBS.  Boring.

First, I'm saddened that Leah and Hollie were "removed" from The Talk. I watched every day. One day, I tune in, no Leah and no Hollie. Suddenly, the show changed to an exercise in tempered political correctness. They bring in the typical southern style strong black woman to present ethnic flair, while Gilbert and Connie Chung (wink) sit there making the world safe for potential errors in political correctness and possible wardrobe favors.

I have absolutely "no idea who the heck Osbourne thinks that she and her family are." I among millions of other youth who grew up in the 70's viewed Ozzy Osbourne as the symbol for all things sick, crazy, morbid, gross, and generally evil. I have NO IDEA how they managed to turn all of that **** he pulled into some friendly but stunted and kind old hipster. There is no way that Sharon could be the kind of quality person that she purports to be if she married that sick scum of a human being. You see, I lived in the days where old Ozzy got his start. He was a demented crazy sick acid taking rock star. I remember the 70's story about the Ozzy versus that other screw-up who during a concert - ate his own ****. From what the rumor said, Ozzy, in the attempt to trump the dude, passed a beer can around the audience, everybody spit in the can, and then he drank it. That was the Ozzy Osbourne that I grew up with in the 70's. So, suddenly, is it possible that this British version of the Adam's Family is supposed to represent all things proper, conservative, and British. They don't. The Mom was a band groupie, the kids as you recall were weird, overweight, passive aggressive, and suddenly, they came into some real popularity and cleaned themselves up, having done a 180 degree spin, and now have the balls to talk about Leah and Hollie. From everything that I remember, Leah and Hollie have both been consistent in who they are since the early 90's. Their spirit and reputation are INTACT. Congratulations Leah and Hollie for taking charge of your beliefs and getting the F away from that crew of distorted television misfits. Long after the show comes to an end, the bulk of us will love you two for the excellent work you have both done since 21 Jump Street and Saved by the Bell.

Ladies, and I use that term loosely, BOTH of you need to grow up and act like adults, if not ladies!  If you are going to spit the dummy about something, at least make it something important!!  Geez!  Get over yourselves already!

Yuck, Mrs. O is not the soul-sucker that Remini is..The Talk made the right move...but Holly's leaving is sad.  She is very funny and smart and personable.  But if the aura feels off , they have to balance out the group and this group of five women is so human and funny....I really enjoy this show.
