Fall TV casting cheat sheet
From Dylan McDermott to Josh Holloway, fall pilots are chock full of names you know

As casting for fall pilots moves full speed ahead, the networks are busy locking in some familiar faces for their new lineups -- because, in these quick-kill times, why not go for tried-and-true?Here's a quick rundown of the boldfaced names making headlines this week in a season that's already locked down names like Ellie Kemper, Craig Robinson, Andy Samberg, Kim Raver, Jonathan Groff, Christina Ricci, Parker Posey, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, amongst others.
Here's the latest:
"American Horror Story" star Dylan McDermott has signed on to play secret-keeping FBI agent Duncan in CBS's Jerry Bruckheimer drama "Hostages," also starring Toni Collette.
Josh Holloway, late of "Lost," will play the lead in the CBS drama "Intelligence," as Gabriel Black, a microchip-enhanced CIA officer.
Jennifer Beals is reuniting with her "L Word" showrunner Ilene Chaiken on ABC's "Venice," playing the matriarch of one of the families the beach town drama centers on.
Matthew Goode, whose focus has been on film thus far (including "Watchmen," "Leap Year" and the upcoming "Stoker"), will star in Showtime's Ridley Scott-directed "Vatican," as Papal Secretary Bernd Koch, the Pope's closest confidant.
Oscar-nominee Virginia Madsen signs on as the matriarch of the McCoy clan for NBC's family drama "Hatfield & McCoys."
