Charlie Sheen opens 'Anger' door to Angus T. Jones
Controversial teen star's former 'Two and a Half Men' uncle extends FX invite

The above picture can't help but remind one of simpler times, when "Two and a Half Men" merely coasted by on inexplicably consistent ratings without entering the pop-culture orbit of those who abstained. That, of course, was before Charlie Sheen harnessed the power of viral media -- and Angus T. Jones quickly discovered its pitfalls. Faster than you can say, "Cue cannily timed audience applause," Jones' YouTube soliloquy on the virtues of Seventh-Day Adventists and detriment of enduring his hit series' "filth" was the talk of Hollywood. Rainn Wilson even spoofed it to score some extra "Office" audience.
The future of Jones at "Two and a Half Men" remains unclear, but fortunately for the morally conflicted 19-year-old actor, Charlie Sheen has an open-door policy over at his totally not-filthy FX sitcom, "Anger Management."
In an interview with ABC News, Sheen declared, "My former nephew is welcome at the Goodson 'Anger Management' home anytime," referring to the surname of his therapist alter-ego on the series. Sheen also seems to view Jones' rant as a "Hale-Bopp-like meltdown," in an odd parallel to the infamous Heaven's Gate cult.
Something tells us this will all be sorted out over at CBS before the intervention of a confessed nymphomaniac drug addict emerges as an ideal solution. If not, and if Jones is indeed still seeking work on a purer broadcast, Big Bird can use all the help he can get these days.
"Two and a Half Men" airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. "Anger Management" Season 2 premieres January 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX.

Jones is entitled to his opinion, and I for one am glad that he realizes how sinful this show really is. As for going to work with Charlie Sheen, I seen nothing wrong with it. I just can't believe that people around this young actor convinced him that he was wrong for speaking out, and made him apologize in an attempt to do damage control. He has a mind of his own, and should be allowed to express his own opinion. If Angus doesn't want to do the show anymore, the network execs should release him from his contract, making everybody happy. I for one don't see Two and a half men being on the air much longer. Ashton Kutcher's character is just terrible. They show went downhill when Charlie Sheen was fired. They knew it then, and they know it now.

totellthetruth - Why would hanging out with Charlie Sheen make him not a good Christian? Jesus socialized with sinners all the time and the whole point behind Christianity is to reach those who are lost. Having grown up working with Sheen, Angus obviously has a close relationship with him. To now shun him just because he doesn't follow the same moral code as he does would be the exact opposite of the Christian thing to do.

Strange how this kid goes on about his religion and calls the show that pays him well filth and then turns around and hangs with Charlie Sheen as if he is somehow a good Christian. Sheen is about as filthy as you can get so I guess this little smart is full of S_ _T regarding is conversion to GOD!

Thanks for the article, Kenny. Sheen was an important part of the sit-com, before he decided he was too BIG, for it. (Angus) Jones is a good kid, and it's natural, at his age, to reassess his role on a show that, admittedly, probably has MORE sexual-type content than is necessary. I guess that Jon Cryer is the stand-out part of the show, by now ... Kutcher's OK, but the old face-offs ... Sheen (Charlie) vs. Cryer (Alan) were essential to the sit-com's backbone. Oh, well ....
