Tom Hanks Hosting Adaptation of O'Reilly Book
Oscar winner will appear onscreen for and narrate 'Killing Lincoln'
Plus: Movie stars who do TV | TV shows for TV snobs
Nat Geo President Howard T. Ownes boasts to Deadline that, “Only Hanks can add that unique poise, intrigue and dynamism that are his trademark to a film about one of the most significant, life-changing events in America’s young history.”
"Alas," really? Why "alas"? Oh, such a terrible and tragic turn of events, that Tom Hanks should want to narrate the small-screen adaptation of a best-selling book...
Methinks your politics are showing. People CAN disagree politically and still collaborate on a project. If we based all of our decisions in daily life (what to watch, where to eat, what to read) on the politics of the person providing them to us, what a boring life it would be -- and needlessly conflicted, as well. Oh hey, that actor you like has a new movie out, want to go see it? Sorry, can't, I found out he's on the other side politically. But it's a film about colonizing Mars, what do US politics have to do with it? Don't tempt me with your logic, sir, I must stick to my values and principles of only ever associating with, watching, or listening to people who believe exactly as I do...
