Meredith Vieira readmits herself to 'General Hospital'
Former 'Today' co-host resuscitates cameo role
Former "Today" co-host Meredith Vieira will return to an acting role she originated on ABC's "General Hospital" a decade ago, according to TV Guide. On Friday, Dec. 14, she'll guest star as Bree Flanders. Appearing in one episode in 2003, Flanders was a madam who tried to hire one of Luke Spencer's squeezes. Now, Vieira says, she's a cosmetics executive.
"Prostitution, makeup -- hey, it's all sales," she told the magazine.
Vieira -- who continues to host "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" -- began novelty-acting in soaps in 2001, when she appeared as a wedding planner in an episode of "All My Children" while co-hosting "The View." Later, she had five successful years co-hosting "Today" before being replaced by Ann Curry, who didn't.
Meredith Vieira will appear on "General Hospital" on Friday, Dec. 14, on ABC. Check local listings.
