Trump Blasts Newly Canceled Rosie

The Donald adds insult to the injury of O'Donnell's bad news

By Kenny Herzog Mar 19, 2012 9:25AM
For all the talk about boycotting Rush Limbaugh, there's another conservative bully on the air who operates with a mean streak. Donald Trump may not be labeling politically active students as promiscuous, but he sure has choice words when it comes to longtime adversary Rosie O'Donnell.

The real estate mogul and "Celebrity Apprentice" host called in to morning-news show "FOX and Friends" earlier Monday morning and discussed the cancellation of O'Donnell's OWN network chat-fest,"The Rosie Show." He didn't exactly offer consolation, telling the program that "Rosie fails at everything" and that he "knew it immediately when they announced it," citing that "she had a variety show" and "it failed."

But Donald's not totally heartless, expressing confidence that, "Some moron will come and hire her again to do something else and that will fail." However, he suggests that, "At some point, let her rest. Let her go away."

Whatever your opinion on Rosie (and ultimately, none of us really knows the woman behind closed doors), it's hard to find purpose behind Trump's harsh, public belittling, other than creating buzz that'll drive attention to "Apprentice." One might even call his behavior cowardly. And no matter how many times Rosie gets knocked down, she's always at least nothing short of fearless.

"The Rosie Show" airs weeknights at 7 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.

Donald and Rosie are cut from the same cloth. Despite being limited  on-screen talents, both are media whores and as such, great at polarizing viewers. Unfortunately for us, some network is always going to give them another shot at  bothering us on TV.

It's pretty embarrassing for him, to be a grown man with the potential to pay someone to teach him how manners and class work. Rosie has never been a favorite of mine, but at least she's attempting to grow up and behave like a decent human being. He's childish and disgusting and sets a good example for nobody.

I'd rather watch Rosie than Donald any day.   At least she is interesting and fun to watch.   Donald?  Not so much!

Who REALLY cares what that pompous old man thinks? Seriously..... hasn't "the Donald" had his share of public failures as well? It is my opinion that Rosie is a good comedic actress....... but I do not like talk shows or "reality tv" shows. I watch a few of the  series on HBO and Showtime, it seems like they have better writers than the primetime TV shows. Most evenings, I prefer to read than watch TV.

This isn't about Rosie, it's about Donald Trump and his ego.  Don't really care what he has to say.  Like him even less than I like Rosie.  When you have nothinig nice to say, say nothing at all.  Learned that in kindergarten.  Don't care if Rosie does the same thing.  Be better.  Rise above it.  Grow up.  His endorsement of Romney is reason itself not to vote for him.

Donald Trump is right on!   Rosie O'Donnell needs to take a long rest.  Sorry to repeat anything that's been said previously but she appears to be totally mean spirited and if it isn't her way, it's no way.  Good riddance!  It should have happened sooner.

She will just keep popping up and I will continue to ignore her!  Trump is right and since I am not PC, he can say whatever he wants.  Rush can say whatever he wants and so can Bill Maher.  Too bad they can't be more tactful!

Rosie O'Donnell totally defines the word irrelevent.  The only reason she got a "show"  in the first place was Oprah threw her a life line.  But the reality is her market share was significantly less than a million people from the beginning and it was slowing dropping.  If you were a person would you advertise on her program?  No one would see it!  I honestly think people are tired of her loud, obnoxious, sarcastic mouth.   It get's old.   And her "new" program was nothing than a different packaging on the same old product.  Rosie's made enough money at other people's expense,  she should just fade into oblivion.  She would not be missed at all.

What was that line? "Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone". I believe that quote had to be about Rosie. Did Kenny Herzog write that article? What a tool! Did he not read how "well" she treated her staff? What an idiot!

If I had a choice of whether to watch the Rosie show, or sit and watch my tractor rust, I would select the tractor rusting out.  Much more entertaining!  Off course, the same would apply where Trump is concerned.

I don't suppose the author of the article has a right wing molecule in their body. Rosie was nice at first, then turned into a political wannabe firebrand and essentially let her anger and hatred portray her in an uglier light than the Rosie any of us grew to like.

I dunno, sometimes I get the impression that she regrets coming out and that she doesn't have the mettle to co-exist with the "outing" community. She may have been boosted due to her proximity to Madonna during the filming of "A League Of Their Own" which then fueled her action to let the world know she was gay. Now we see a reprehensible version of Rosie. As much as I abhor today's pre-occupation with the sexual proclivities of famous people, even Ellen Degenerate comes across as more personable.

I don't think people are born gay. Being homosexual is a choice, otherwise we'd be hearing from the bisexuals that they were born bisexual. Nope, it's more like nature taking its course. If someone is too unattractive (internally or outwardly) then their chances of shagging with members of the opposite sex (like we're born to do) aren't going to leave them with too many notches on the proverbial headboard. Then, like same-sex prisoners, they will seek their gratification through homosexual activities. Some will go on to feel they have somehow been divined as gay and try to soothe their self-recrimination by then climbing aboard the denial train for a ride of a lifetime.

This is relevant because I think Rosie's frustration with her life is mostly sexual in nature. It has manifested itself in the form of inflammation of her political views (which are her right to have) and subsequent demeanor toward those who don't share her socio-political sensitivities. Hence, the brouhaha with the Trumpster. Hence his behavior.

Me a Trump fan? Nope. He's almost as annoying as any other over-exposed, reality TV celeb. But Rosie started the public recrimination with Donald and I think she has such responses coming to her.

I miss the old Rosie. She was sweet and considerate toward all her guests and interviewers. Then she caught the "out" bug and decided to be as ugly as she could muster.

Oprah Winfrey has talked Donald and Rosie into a no-holds-barred knock down drag-out fight. The winner gets to be Barbara Walters' bff.
