Trump Blasts Newly Canceled Rosie
The Donald adds insult to the injury of O'Donnell's bad news
By Kenny Herzog Mar 19, 2012 9:25AM
For all the talk about boycotting Rush Limbaugh, there's another conservative bully on the air who operates with a mean streak. Donald Trump may not be labeling politically active students as promiscuous, but he sure has choice words when it comes to longtime adversary Rosie O'Donnell. The real estate mogul and "Celebrity Apprentice" host called in to morning-news show "FOX and Friends" earlier Monday morning and discussed the cancellation of O'Donnell's OWN network chat-fest,"The Rosie Show." He didn't exactly offer consolation, telling the program that "Rosie fails at everything" and that he "knew it immediately when they announced it," citing that "she had a variety show" and "it failed."
But Donald's not totally heartless, expressing confidence that, "Some moron will come and hire her again to do something else and that will fail." However, he suggests that, "At some point, let her rest. Let her go away."
Whatever your opinion on Rosie (and ultimately, none of us really knows the woman behind closed doors), it's hard to find purpose behind Trump's harsh, public belittling, other than creating buzz that'll drive attention to "Apprentice." One might even call his behavior cowardly. And no matter how many times Rosie gets knocked down, she's always at least nothing short of fearless.
"The Rosie Show" airs weeknights at 7 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.

Hey guys,
I've only had a chance to skim some of the comments, but I just want to remind folks that Rosie's cancellation has nothing to do with Donald. He's just an opportunist. Which is what makes him successful, but in this case, he his comments were absolutely a blindsided cheap shot at someone when they were already down. That's the definition of a bully.
I really appreciate everyone reading and responding passionately.

People just don't like how candid The Donald is when he calls a spade a spade.
When it comes to O'Donnell he is dead on. I'd like to smack the next loser who tries to bring her back from the dead. For god's sake she has nothing to offer anymore when it comes to entertainment. Please JUST GO AWAY.

Hey Kenny - don't you know what a bully is? Donald did nothing to get Rosie off the air and I'm not sure he has ever bullied anyone in public. He might be mean at times, in-accurate occasionally, certainly direct, most definitely has strong opinions, expresses what is on his mind, doesn't use political correctness in speech or actions, etc. but I don't recall him ever bullying anyone (using force or coercion to force a result) at least in his public life. Seems to me you are trying to be what you describe him as being - but who is influenced by you? 0.

This pretend billionaire is still relevant? Someone needs to sew his mouth shut because the more he talks the more stupid he sounds, not that I like Rosie or anything. He's as useless as baby feeders on a nun. He sure does have a stiffy for someone he claims to despise. Probably hung like a field mouse.

Donald Trump is nothing but a snot nosed rich guy who had a T.V.show that went to his head so he thinks he has power,President Obama showed him how much power he actually had whenTrump raised that stink over the birth certificate! The last time I looked Hawii was part of the United States!Trump is just showing how stupid and little he really is,best thing that could happen to him would be he loose every cent he had and then maybe he would keep his ugly mouth shut! There is nothing wrong with Rosie and her show should never have been canceled!Cheers to Obama for shutting Trump up!

Trump is about as likeable as a case of influenza and so is Rosie. That being said however, if Rosie can't stand the heat, she shouldn't have started the fire. Trump only started bashing Rosie after she thought she could get some laughs by bashing him a few years ago. She underestimated his thin skin and unfortunately he's never going to let the overgrown oompa loompa off the hook.

Donald Trump is a petty little man who got what he has from his father. He went bankrupt and lost most of what he created other than selling his naming rights to the highest bidder. If the banks could have, they would have let him go under. He tries to bully people based on his celebrity and ability to have news orgs give him airtime. He is a blowhard whose best purpose might be to sit in front of a wind generating plant and go on and on about his nothingness. The reason his hair flps about is because it has nothing to anchor too....
