CBS scores Chuck Lorre 'Mom' comedy
'Two and a Half Men' and 'Big Bang' creator sells single-mom pilot to his comedy home
Despite the recent Angus T. Jones call-outs and chaos on his long-running hit "Two and a Half Men," CBS has decided it wants to stay in the Chuck Lorre business. TAHM was getting tired before Charlie left. His character was growing some with his engagement but then he backtracked into the same sorry womanizer. Alan is unbelievable - a chiropractor who can't afford to live on his own? A woman down the street from me is a divorced single mom chiropractor with a nice home. I thought the retool started out well but now it is raunchy & toilet humor.
I do like the Big Bang Theory. It's characters have developed and it only has a fraction of the raunch. You can be funny without always being in the gutter.
The kid is right too. The show has become a raunch fest. I'm not a prude I' love comics that can work blue, when it's done well. 2 & 1/2 just seems to feel so contrived and kind of pathetic. Everything seems to be telegraphed. Oops showing my age!
