President will discuss recent comments on same-sex marriage and more

"It will be his very first interview since coming out in support of same-sex marriage," Walters said when she announced the visit on "The View." "I think we want to know what the reaction is, that he's had, especially since 30 states have bans on same-sex marriage."
Word is Obama had actually intended to make his big announcement during this visit to "The View." He decided to speak up sooner, however, after Vice President Joe Biden got ahead of him on Sunday's "Meet the Press," according to CNN.

If that buzz is accurate, Biden's premature reveal was a boon for Robin Roberts, anchor at ABC sister show "Good Morning America." With a sudden push to get the word out, President Obama called on Roberts to break his big news May 9.
"At a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me, personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married," Obama told Robins.
The President's appearance on "The View" is part of the show’s continuing “Red, White & View” campaign, which is committed to bringing political guests and discussions to daytime. President Obama was the first sitting United States President to visit a daytime talk show back when he appeared on "The View" July 29, 2010.
"The View" airs weekdays on ABC.
I wonder if they will bring up questions regarding information in the new book coming out "The Amateur"? Um..........likely not.
Check it out on Amazon. Availbable next week.
Incompetence and Arrogance is an ugly and frightening combination for leadership when you observe a nation of complacency, ignorance, and naivete! Youth is wasted on the young, but I guess they will get what they are asking for, and I will be long dead and care no more.
Oh great!! I will be sure to miss it, like I usually do!
Cannot stand that show or any of their pundits, commentators, or whatever you call them. Great for commenting on sound bites with no real substance behind the comment. Just like Sarah Palin. Gag me! I wish people would read more. TV is a brain dead activity!
I wonder if they will dig up some pictures of him in Speedo's, or standing in the turret of a tank, or something equally appealing. Maybe kissing some babies/homeless/AIDS victims/unemployed/whatevers.
But what I really wish is if he would get off his backside and get my home equity back, and get a few people a job.
REALLY??? Can you stay in the "Office" and get some work done PLEASE?? I cannot believe what publicity mongers this couple is...and she has ..what 35 assistants compared to 1 for other Presidents wives...What a huge sense of entitlement these 2 have...when there is so much to do..like alll that he promised to fix? AND I VOTED FOR HIM....I think they are just reveling in the popularity of it all...all the star studded partys..and "Date" nites....while millions in our own country hardly have food or Jobs...F--=ing SHAMLESS....Shame on you Mr President!!!!!!!!!!
I just wonder what happened to our representative Republican on the panel. She is so enamored now that she is no longer the torch bearer for 50% of us out here. While I believe the office of the President is always to be respected, maybe she should be singing the Al Green song.
The View needs a more balanced view.
