While that Emmy still remains elusive, Jon Hamm has scored something else his fellow actors should be mad men and women over: a producer credit on "Mad Men."

According to TV Line, the three-year deal Hamm inked last summer with AMC and studio Lionsgate, included not only an eight-figure paycheck but all the creative and monetary benefits that come with producing a hit TV show.

This is the first time AMC has conferred this benefit. As part of the deal, Hamm will also get to direct an episode.

Season 5 of "Mad Men" premieres Sunday, March 25, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.

The show has been off the air so long, who really cares about what deals were struck or about the show at all.  I Sadwill not watch because I have found other programs that are loyal to the watchers.
