Hayden Panettiere Moves to 'Nashville'
ABC's soapy drama gets its latest star addition

Who says their can only be one primetime melodrama that takes place in a world of 10-gallon hats and twangy accents? A few months back, TNT began heavily promoting its hyped-up "Dallas" reboot. Not to be outdone, ABC went to work on "Nashville" (not to be confused with Robert Altman's theatrical classic), which focuses on an aging country star teamed up by her label with a hot young upstart on the scene. And according to Deadline, said newbie will be played by none other than former "Heroes" pom-pom queen Hayden Panettiere. Jonathan Jackson and the always menacing Powers Boothe are among the other actors who'll star alongside Panettiere in the pilot, which Deadline assures will be chock full of not just music, but scandalous romance, seedy politics and all the other good stuff we make room in our DVR for.
No premiere date is set for "Nasvhille," but it certainly has all the ingredients to lasso in a "Dallas"-sized audience.

There is so little originality anymore. If one show does well then there are multiple versions almost immediately. If imitation is the highest form of flattery then you better have a phenomenal cast to back it up.
spellcheck44 - isn't it maddening? I worked on a college campus and read papers, applications, and emails the students wrote and I wondered on a regular basis how these kids ever got out of high school.
