Which talk shows and soaps will offer fresh fare?
The Christmas holiday always means preemptions and repeats in daytime. But this year, there's a bit of fresh fare in the mix. Here's a look at which talk shows and soap operas are airing new episodes on Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25, along with details on which classic soap episodes are airing. Monday, Dec. 24:
"Today" and "GMA" are new. Also look for fresh holiday episodes of "Live! With Kelly and Michael," "The Talk," "Katie," "The Rachael Ray Show" and "Anderson Live." The rest of the talk shows will air encores or be preempted.
Soap opera fans will find new drama on CBS' "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful," as well as NBC's "Days of Our Lives." ABC’s "General Hospital” will re-air its Nov. 21 Thanksgiving episode honoring the late Quartermaine patriarch, Edward.
Tuesday Dec. 25:
"Today" and "GMA" are new. The daytime talk shows will air encore interviews, unless they're preempted.
Soap fans will excited to find new episodes of "The Young and the Restless" and NBC's “Days of Our Lives." Also look for an encore of last year's "The Bold and the Beautiful" Christmas episode (Dec. 23), which saw the Logan sister cooking dinner for a Forrester and Logan holiday. ABC’s "General Hospital" will be preempted.

Tuesday, Jan. 1:
CBS' "The Young and the Restless" will air a new episode, while sister show "The Bold and the Beautiful" will air Hope and Liam's June 26 wedding episode. ABC's "General Hospital" and NBC's "Days Of Our Lives" will be preempted.
