'The Walking Dead' taps Chad Coleman
Former 'Wire' actor will star as fan-favorite Tyreese
The web is abuzz with the latest casting news from "The Walking Dead."
That's because Chad Coleman is slated to join the cast as fan-favorite Tyreese, a former NFL player who becomes Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) most trusted confidant in the comic-book series.
Coleman, who is best known for his turn as Cutty on "The Wire," will appear in the Dec. 2 midseason finale, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Meanwhile, entertainment sites Digital Spy and TVOvermind broke the news that Coleman will be playing Tyreese.
The only downside for fans is that Tyreese will join the show presumably after one or several other characters have been killed off. Executive producers Glen Mazzara and Robert Kirkman have confirmed that Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) and T-Dog's (IronE Singleton) deaths were just the beginning.
Yikes! So who will die next? If last Sunday's installment is any indication, things are not looking good for Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).
"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
