Mama June channels Marilyn Monroe
'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' matriarch gets a makeover, becomes a blonde

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is a huge success and it was only a matter of time before its stars became glamorous.
But fear not fans. Glamour is relative and when the TLC show's matriarch, June Shannon (aka Mama June), decided to get a makeover, it involved her daughters dying her hair in the kitchen sink. Although Alana (aka Honey Boo Boo) is a pageant vet, she and her sisters had trouble applying the dye. "Mama, all your bugs are jumpin' out your head," she quipped.

Mama June's blond transformation was a part of the show's Halloween special, which aired Sunday. If January seems a little late for pumpkins and costumes, don't sweat it. The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" Thanksgiving special airs next week and the Christmas special airs in February.

And the new 'do didn't go unnoticed. Sugar Bear was so excited about his 33-year-old mate's newly golden tresses, that he bought her a Marilyn Monroe-style frock so she could dress up as the legendary bombshell for Halloween. But in the end, Mama June was too modest -- and possibly too embarrassed by her daughters' insults -- to channel her inner Marilyn on the trick or treat circuit.

Even if you aren't as excited about Mama June's blondness as Sugar Bear, you have to admit, it certainly suits her.
The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" Thanksgiving special airs Sunday, Jan. 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC and the Christmas special airs in February.
First- ParkAvenue4me: Trash is not required to reside in a trailer to qualify as trash. Next time when you are out and about leering at the world from the end of your high-end beak, take notice of the Park Avenue Trash Elite...
Second- I do completely agree with ParkAvenue4me; when things like Runny Eew Eew and Mama have a fan base and following, it proves why our country has fallen from being the World Power to the World Jester.
